"...Aur tab se Samrat Dada ekdam chup chup se hain." Sai told Pulkit everything.

Samrat and Mansi had returned to Samrat's room. Devyani had gone to her room. Patralekha stood there like a statue.

"Excuse me"

Everyone's eyes turned towards the door.

"Can I come in?"

"Ha. Aaiye"

"I'm Dr Vineet."

Everyone looked at him confused.

"Ha Virat sir ne bataya tha aapke bare mein. Please baithiye." Sai offered him a seat, "ye Samrat Dada ka check up karne aaye hain" She told everyone and Usha Maushi brought a glass of water for him.

"Thankyou, but before meeting the patient, I would like to meet ACP Chahvan first."

"Ha, ha," Bhavani looked at Karishma, "Karishma, jao aur Virat ko bulakar lao."

"Ji Kaku"

Karishma went upstairs and looked for him. She found him in the balcony with a knife.

"Hey Bhagwan, kahin Virat Dada ko pata to nahi chal gaya hamare kal raat ke adventure ke bare mein. Kahin aisa na ho, khaya piya kuch nahi, glass toda barah aana. Pakad ke bhi aise hi baithe hain jaise koi evidence hai."

Virat looked at the knife and was about to bring it closer but Karishma snatched it from his hands. He looked at her confused. Then he got up and looked around.

"Wo Dada, koi Dr. Vineet aye hain aapse milne. Sai bhabhi bata rahi thi bahut bade doctor hain aur Samrat Dada bilkul theek ho jayenge. Hai na ekdam Dadho Sutto news."

"Ha" a small wave of hope spread on his face and his eyes fell on the knife.

Karishma hid the knife behind her.

"Wo...Wo...Main, actually main na kal yahan fruits lekar..."

Virat left without listening to her excuses.

She heaved a sigh of relief and looked up at the sky, "jaan bacha li aapne. Varna Virat Dada ka to pata nahi, lekin Kaku pakka meri jaan le leti."

Virat saw him from above the stairs and almost ran down to him.

"Careful" Vineet cautioned him.

"Sawal iske bhai ka hai, ise kahan chain hoga?" Ninad smiled.

Vineet looked at Virat's face.

"Hello ACP Chahvan. I'm Dr Vineet."

Virat shook hands with him.

"Before Samrat, main aapse baat karna chahta tha. When I talked to you on phone, I realised no one would be better than you to tell me about him."

"Chaliye, mere kamre mein chalkar baat karte hain. Samrat se bhi wahin mil lijiyega" Virat said to Dr Vineet.

"Let's go."

"Are Patralekha! Tum bhi jao, Patni ho tum Samrat ki" Bhavani asked Patralekha and she shivered.

Vineet looked at her, "No, let her be."

Virat sir might need me

Sai was about to follow but Virat shook his head.

"Mr Chahvan. I want to know everything. And everything means everything. I don't want you to keep any secrets from me. Tell me everything about Samrat. Right from the beginning."

Virat told him everything from their relationship since childhood to his marriage to how he met him in an asylum to what he's been doing since he returned.

Vineet heard everything patiently.

"It's all because of me. I cheated him. I cheated him in a way that he lost himself." Fresh tears bubbled up in his eyes.

"Maine usse sach nahi chhipaya hota to mera bhai bilkul theek hota. Ekdam pehle ke jaise. Laughing. Talking and teasing me." Virat cried in pain. But then he wiped his tears and looked at him with hope.

"But you can make everything alright. Now that we know where his pain stems from, he can be healed right?" Virat waited for an answer.

"I want to meet Samrat first."

"Please tell me he will be fine" Virat pleaded.

"Ek baar Samrat..."

"Please tell me..." Virat's eyes moistened.

Vineet looked at him.

"Laata hu" Virat said dejected.

He got up to take him.

"But before that" Vineet's statement stopped Virat, "I need to talk to you and Patralekha."

"I can understand you might want to talk to her but me? we just talked."

"Not about Samrat... About you."

"Mere bare mein?" Virat looked at him questioningly.

"Because I think I need to help you before I help him." Vineet smiled.
