Chapter - 26

"Roli.." sid called her as softly as he could. Whilst roli looked at him surprisingly. 

"You love me, right?" Sid asked, moving close to her. Roli was stunned at his sudden question but still nodded as yes.

"And you know what I feel about you?" Sid stopped just an inch away from her face and looked into her eyes. While roli looked at him eagerly as if she was waiting to know what he was going to say further. 

As roli waited for his answer, he didn't say a word more and  moved further, filling the gap between them and pressed his lips on hers'. 

Roli instantly closed her eyes, feeling his warm lips embracing hers'. While sid kissed her slowly yet passionately, sending a joy into her heart. 

A couple of moments later, sid stopped kissing and opened his eyes. By the time roli too opened her eyes and found him too close to her that she could feel his warm breath. 

"It's done" sid's whisper sounded husky in her ears and she was brought back to reality. 

Roli looked down and found her hands got applied with ointment. Sid moved back from her and did band aid to her right hand, which got more hurt. 

"Was it just to distract me?" Roli asked with a longing look in her eyes. 

Sid, though looked at her, didn't utter anything whilst he continued to first aid. Taking his silence as the answer, roli looked away from him, forcing herself not to cry. 

After sid was done, he closed the first aid kit as he said "even if it's distraction, I wouldn't have done it with anyone else than you". 

By saying that he got up and left. Roli looked at the direction he left and smiled as a tear drop she was holding in, finally made its way out of her eyes. 

Soon sid returned to hall with a bag pack. He sat beside her and opened it. 

"Pizza" roli stared at the pack in shock. "When did you bring this?". 

"I've ordered it when you were busy in your cooking. And I just came out of kitchen to receive this delivery while you did this to yourself" sid replied, pointing at her hands. 

"You asked me to cook and you ordered food from out" roli was going mad at him. 

"I'm not a fool to risk my life by eating food made by you. Especially after knowing about your cooking skills" sid's sarcastic reply made her annoyed. 

"So, I got my hands hurt, unnecessarily" roli looked down at her hands with a pity. 

"Actually, when I said I'm hungry, I thought you'd suggest me to order food online but, you're dumb enough to get into kitchen and burn your hands" sid said and took a piece of pizza near her mouth. 

Roli looked at him angrily and muttered "you're hungry, not me. You feed yourself". 

"It's lunch time, roli. Have it. See how good I'm to feed you" he said with a pride. 

"You're doing it because you're responsible for my hands getting hurt" roli almost yelled at him. 

"Roli.. have it" sid calmly said. 

"Impress me to have it" roli smirked. Sid raised his eyebrows while she smiled proudly. 

"Roli, you better take a bite of it before I stuff this entire piece into your mouth" sid warned and forced her to take a bite. 

With his force, roli had no other option then taking the bite. "Impressed?" Sid asked with a smirk while roli daggered him with her look. 

"This is why I call you kadoos" roli pouted angrily. 

"I'm done with your praisings for today, not anymore" sid said, ignoring her looks. 

"You.." before roli could complete her sentence, sid again stuffed a piece into her mouth. 

Ignoring her bickering and glaring, he completed feeding her and himself. 

Sid cleared the empty packs in to dustbin and came back to roli. At that time sujata and mataji too returned from temple. 

As soon as they entered in, sujata noticed wound on roli's hand. "Roli, what happened to you?" She worriedly reached roli and examined her hands.

"Maa.. it's just.." roli didn't know what to give a reason. 

"She got hurt while cooking" sid said, being honest.

"Cooking? Why did you need to do that? I told siddhant to order food if we get late to return" Sujata continued. 

"It's okay, maa. I'm fine" roli tried to calm her down.

"And siddhant, I told you to take care of her. May be it was my mistake to give her responsibility to you even after knowing how careless you could be" sujata yelled at sid in anger. 

Surprisingly, sid didn't say anything and maintained his silence as sujata continued to scold him. Even roli tried to stop her but she didn't.

After giving a good lecture to sid, sujata took roli along with her. While sid rushed out of the house, giving deaf ears to mataji's calls.
