Chapter - 7

Early morning, Roli rubbed her eyes, waking up from her sleep which she got with very much difficulty. Being at new place, it wasn't easy for her to sleep as she wasn't used to that place. Besides, yesterday night's incident, that sudden closeness with Sid made it even more difficult for her to have a peaceful sleep. Keeping all the things running in her mind since yesterday night, aside, she got up from the bed and went to washroom.  

After getting ready, she went down. In dinning hall, mataji, Sujata and rajender were gathered to have breakfast. They all settled down on their respective chairs while servants started serving them. 

"Roli, I hope everything is comfortable for you here" started rajender as he placed his cup of green tea back on table, after taking a sip of it. 

"Haan papa" replied roli with a genuine smile. 

"Why not? Anyways she will have to get used to this place, right?" Said mataji while Sujata and rajender nodded with a smile whereas roli didn't understand what she actually meant but smiled at them, least concerned about the need to understand it. 

While talking about herself being comfort, there came the person who was making her feel uncomfortable, though in a pleasant way. She saw Sid descending stairs by adjusting watch around his wrist. He looked up and found roli staring at him. Their eyes got locked as they remembered their yesterday night's closeness. 

"Siddanth, come soon" called Sujata, bringing them back to their senses while Sid looked away and reached dinning table. While having breakfast, they didn't turn to look at eachother. Infact, scolding themselves for drooling the other, with an embarrassment. 

"I'm going" said Sid, completing his breakfast, rose from his chair to stir out but stopped by rajender.

"Siddanth, take roli too with you" said rajender as he too got up from his chair. 

"Why should I take her" he denied, quickly. 

"Because she is new to this place, if not so, then also you have to take her with you. And... Haan.. not only today but daily you should take her with you, that's why we took her admission in your college so that you will be there to take care of her in college" completed rajender which was definitely not okay for Sid.

"Is she a small kid to take care?" He said, taking a not so interested look at roli while she pouted at his comment.

"She is and you have to take care of her. If you don't want to take her with you then you have to go to college by bus from today" declared rajender as his final decision. And there was no other way which Sid could choose to escape as he would never be ready to go by bus which is not at all his comfort zone.  

"Come soon" let out Sid, looking at roli and went out without waiting further. 

"Roli, take care" said rajender with a concern, caressing her hair, who's not less than a father to her.

"I will, promise" assured roli with a smile and went out. 

At parking she saw Sid waiting for her on his bike. 

"Are we going on bike?" She asked, reaching him. 

"Not actually, I'm going to book flight ticket for you now" Sid replied, sarcastically, making her to glare him. "Stop glaring and sit on bike, we're getting late" he continued and started his bike. 

"Can we go in car? Actually I'm not used to bike so I'm a bit afraid to get on it" said roli, gaining an angry look from Sid.

"Please.." she pleaded cutely, which somewhat able to melt his heart. 

"Giving orders as princess" Sid mumbled which was well heard by roli and he got down from his bike and went towards the car while roli followed him silently. 

Sid opened the door of driver seat whilst roli opened the back door of the car.

"Excuse me, I'm not your driver. Come and sit in front" Sid literally ordered while roli closed the back door and moved to front with an angry kid expression. 

After few minutes, they both reached their college without talking anything throughout the drive. Sid parked the car and they got down. Roli looked at him but, he moved towards his friends without looking at her. Sid reached his friends, who were watching in shock to see Sid coming with roli. And he obviously studied their expressions. He decided to clear the things before his friends come to some conclusions on their own. As he started to explain, roli reached him with a smile, which surprised Sid and his friends while Sid was wondering thinking why she came there. 

"Woh.. sorry" said roli, a bit nervously and still maintaining the same smile on her lips. Sid looked at her, amazed. 

"Yesterday I've made you to bear principal's lecture in front of your friends right. So now saying sorry in front of them. I'm sorry, will you forgive me at least now" she apologized with a cute smile and he could feel the innocence in her words. 

"It's.. okay.." Sid pushed his words out which were stuck in his throat, seeing her cute smile. Brushing off the thoughts, created by her smile, he got back to his rough and tough personality and turned towards his friends. 

"You forgave me, right?" Roli asked, only to gain a glare from him. "..okay I'm going bye" she rushed from there as if escaping from his angry glare. 

Sid then turned to his friends, who were watching him with folding their arms across and a smile on their faces. 

"First listen to me, she's my dad's friend's daughter, who's staying in my home for her studies and so she is coming with me as we both are in same college, that's it" completed Sid in a go, knowing what stupidity their minds might have cooking up. 

"Hmmm.." his friends replied in unison as if believing him and with a teasing smile at Sid they all left to their classroom. 

After college got over, Sid along with his friends left to their usual chatting spot which was a two streets away from their college. They were having their usual talks while Sid suddenly got up from his place in a hurry.

"Oh shit!" He hit his forehead with his hand, taking a look at his watch.

"What happened Sid?" Asked Sid's friend Rohan, confused with his sudden change in acts. But Sid didn't wait to reply to them and rushed from there, taking his car. 

In a hurry he reached his college again but found it's gate already locked. He looked around but found none which made him worried. 

"Is there anyone inside?" Sid asked, reaching the Watchman of their college.

"Who can be inside when it's locked from outside?" Replied him much to increase Sid's worry. 

Sid went back to his car. He was tensed, so much. How could he won't be, he forgot about roli. He forgot that he had to take her along with him to home back. But he forgot it and went out with his friends. Now where he should search for her. She doesn't even know the address of his house to go by herself and moreover she is new to this place. After searching for her there near his college, he returned back to his car.

"Oh god, where is this girl now" he closed his eyes with his palms and leant on the car, scolding himself for the nth time for the blunder he had done. "I hope she is fine" he mumbled to himself and started to his home, not knowing what to tell to his parents. 

Reaching home, he got down and entered into his home. In hall Sujata was sitting alone on sofa and reading newspaper. 

"God please save me from my family" he prayed as he was well aware of their reactions after knowing about roli's missing. "Also keep her safe wherever she is" he mumbled to himself and don't know how many times he prayed for this while driving back to home. 

"Maa.." he finally spoke out, reaching his mom, who raised up her head from newspaper, hearing his voice. 

"Woh.." he wasn't knowing how to let out the words. 

"Roli beta" called Sujata, making Sid surprised. He turned and found roli coming out of the kitchen. She looked at him but didn't show any reaction. While Sid was not on the earth, he was feeling so relaxed seeing her safe and sound in front of his eyes. He just couldn't tell how he was feeling at the moment. It felt like he got his life back to him. He closed his eyes with a silent sigh escaping him mouth with much relaxation. 

"I've kept oil bowl in your room" continued Sujata, bringing Sid back to the world. While roli nodded and left from there. 

"And siddanth, if you got extra class then you should have informed us right. Good that roli called to inform and we sent driver to pick her up or else she would have been waiting for you there in college for hours" said Sujata while Sid was shocked to hear it. He didn't know how to react, just nodded as okay and left. 

"Roli" Sid called her, who was about to enter into her room. She was surprised to hear her name from him for the first time. She looked at him as he reached near her.

"If you have mobile then why didn't you call me instead of calling at home? You know how much I was worried.. I felt like..." He stopped as he found her looking at him without blinking. 

"I don't have your number" she said the fact which shut Sid's mouth. 

"Hmm... Sorry" he said in a bit low voice.

"For not giving your number?" Roli asked in a teasing tone, raising her eyebrows and gained a glare from him. 

"And... Thanks" Sid continued, ignoring her teasing. 

"For what" she asked, shrinking her eyebrows in confusion.

"For not telling about it to anyone" he explained while she smiled as okay.

"..but I didn't expect it from you when I saw you in home now. I thought you would have complained to my mom like a school kid" Sid continued which changed roli's smile into a angry glare while he paying least attention to her glare, took her mobile from her hand. 

"I've saved my number now, if something like this happens then do call to me only" he gave mobile back to her.

"It means you will repeat this again" she asked like a kid, taking her mobile while he raised his shoulders as 'may be'. 

"Go and eat almonds.. bulakkad" she yelled and rushed into her room while Sid with a sigh left to his room. 

Entering into his room, Sid settled himself on the couch. He took his mobile out from his pocket and saved roli's number which he took by giving missed call from her mobile. He stared at roli's name on the screen and remembered his blunder again. It was such an unpleasant experience which he never experienced before, though it was for a short time but, it felt like ages for him. After relaxing himself for few more minutes, he got up and went to fresh up himself.
