Chapter 24B

Zoya was trying to reach, Khan Villa soon, in the evening but the darkness was over lapping the sky and she kept walking but the light was so dim and the same time a ray of headlight beamed on her face which dazzled her eyes. She put her arm on her face and the car hit her leg. She rolled down on the floor and her head hit the nearby tree which helped her to stop rolling down too.

A pair of bloodshot eyes popped out from the car's driving seat, it was clear that the driver was aghast and numb. His hands were shivering which were on steering wheel and the forehead was covered with the sweat. His lips could only utter three words, "This isn't possible".

He started chanting these three words and gasped a bit but decided to reach near Zoya. His legs were trembling but he somehow reached Zoya, who was asking for the help. Her face was covered with her hairs but she could clearly see the face of the man sitting on his knee near her, after rolling down and the forehead was bleeding and her eyelashes were blinking due to semi-consciousness and she tried to mumble, "H-He"lllppph", and finally fainted.

The man started gasping and stuttered, "aab kya kya karu"

He quickly kept the hairs aside which were on her face and again stuttered, "Wahi chehra!! Subah dargah mein bhi or ab yaha...kahin..."

Another car passed from the place and its headlight beamed on his face, and Rashid mumbled in his mind coming out from his thoughts, "I've to let her take to hospital...isse pehle koi or dekhle...", and he immediately scooped her in his arms and dropped her on the back seat and rubbed his hands. He ran towards his driving seat and  drove off till the another car catch them.

LifeLine Hospital:

Rashid layed down Zoya on the nearby stretcher at the main door of the hospital when he saw that a ward boy was about to pass from that place, and hid himself behind a pillar.

The wardboy suddenly passed and saw Zoya injured laying on the stretcher, he quickly informed the nurse and admitted her.

Rashid took a deep sigh but he stopped in between and a thought immediately reached his mind, "Accident? Iska matlab us raat yeh mari nahi thi? To ab tak samne kyu nahi ayi? What the hell is happening?", he crushed his jaw and he quietly entered inside and sat on the seat lying near for the visitors.

He cupped his head in hands and murmured,  "Ye kya kar diya Rashid!! Par Aseemah zinda hai aur...", the same time his eyes fell on Asad, who gasping entered the hospital with Najma and Dilshad. Rashid quickly left the spot and hid himself. He witnessed that Asad was shivering and his eyes were red and puffy as he is crying since ages.

The tears were rolling down from his eyes, lips where trembling and he was constantly mumbling ZOYA which Rashid couldn't hear but he was shocked after knowing that Khan family, especially Asad was related to the girl to whom he has hit and taken to the hospital.

"Ye kaise janta hai use...kahin isne Aseemah ko chupakar to...", Rashid thought but when Asad was about to came near the hospital, Rashid thought that to run from the hospital away is better for now and he somehow ran when wardboy got engaged in something and this is how Asad couldn't see him.

When Rashid left Asad reached to the reception running with the velocity of light and asked, "Zoya...Zoya kaha hai", and a tear droplet fell down from his eyes.

Nurse said, "Calm down Sir its hospital"

"Arey... Calm down? Zoya...Zoya ...meri Zoya safe nahi hai yaha hai...and and...you are asking me to calm down...what the hell", he shouted.

Dilshad calmed him down and immediately asked the nurse, "aapka phone aya the accident hua hai uska aur..."

The nurse interrupted, "Accha wo...wo ladki to ground floor pe hi admitted hai. Room no 108..and she is..."

Asad ran towards Zoya like maniac and didn't even bother to listen the nurse whole statement, he just wanted to see Zoya who, has become more to him, from Ms. Farooqui to Zoya and now, Her Zoya.

The memorylane of the sour, bitter and sad thoughts were painting in front of his eyes. He was about to loose Zoya once also, after the registrar office incident but now he couldn't afford to loose his Zoya. He has lost everyone in life, but didn't want to loose his Zoya and wanted to keep her in his arms forever.

He immediately entered inside the room immediately, where Zoya was sitting on the patient bed resting her back and on the head board, and was having water. Her head was bandaged and their were some bruises on her arm after rolling down on the bushes of the accident spot. Her face has became pale and eyes were swelled.

She tried to keep the glass aside and hissed in pain, "Ah!", due to head-pain.

"Ma'am please jhukiye mat. I will keep the...", but before nurse could complete herself two arms engulfed Zoya tightly.

"Tumhe pata bhi hai main kitna dar gaya tha...meri galti hai humesha tumhe akele jana deta hoon...", Asad mumbled in tears and shivering lips, he caressed her back of head with his palm, tears came in Zoya's eyes also but she was more than confused due to Asad's and her feelings for each other.

But she too responded and wound her arms around his back. Asad parted a bit to complete himself, "Ab kabhi khud se door nahi jane dunga...kabhi nahi", and he brushed his lips on her forehead. Zoya looked in his eyes as she wanted to ask "Promise", but she didn't as she was unaware about her feelings for him and pressed her lips.

Dilshad and Najma were witnessing all this from the door but Asad and Zoya were unaware about this. Najma stepped forward to enter inside but Dilshad stopped her and nodded her head negatively at which she obeyed her mother and stopped.

But a voice took Asad and Zoya from their trance, "Sir! She needs rest, aap patient ko aram karne dijiye"

Asad nodded his head in agreement looking into Zoya's eyes and holding her face in his arms caressed her face lightly and warned her like a 5 year old kid, "Abhi bimar ho to jane de raha hoon...age se apna khayal nahi rakha to dekhna tum...kabhi baat nahi karoonga"

At which Zoya looked and mumbled in her mind, even she didn't know why, "Phir to khayal rakhna hi padega",she smiled in thoughts when she came to senses. She tried to get seated on the bed in which, he  immediately helped her and Dilshad finally decided to enter with Najma, behaving as they saw nothing.

Dilshad seated near Zoya on the stool and took her hand in hers when Najma said innocently, "Zoya! Aap apna khayal kyu nahi rakhti, apko pata hai hum sab kitne dar gaye the"

"Haan Zoya what is this beta...", Dilshad tried to say but Zoya interrupted, "Arey baba kuch nahi hua hai dekhiye I'm perfectly fine", and she was about to stand on the floor when Asad held her arm lightly and showed his eyes as he was indicating to lie on the bed again at which she pouted.

"Don't you dare to leave that bed...aur kya hua hai? Ye sir pe chot aur ye bruises ye sab aise hi hua infact accident bhi nahi hua...haina", Asad sarcastically replied, at which Zoya pouted.

Dilshad scolded Asad, "Bas karo ab! Use rest karne do", and caressed Zoya's forehead.

Few Minutes Later,

"I've checked Zoya's reports Mr. Asad, she is pretty fine now", doctor informed in her cabin to Asad while closing the file, which was in her hands and kept it aside.

Asad took a deep sigh of relief and said, "That means we can take her home now"

She smiled and answered back, "Relax! She is fine but for precautions I think she should take rest in the hospital under doctors observation"

Asad was about to ask something when the doctor interrupted, "Bas aaj raat ki baat hai Mr. Asad, subah aap unhe ghar le jaiye"

"Okay! As you say", Asad replied.

"By the way doctor Zoya ko hospital lekar kaun aaya tha?", Asad asked.

"Even I don't know, Koi use bahar stratcher pe chod ke chala gayi. Kisi ko nahi pata kaun tha", she mumbled.

"what do you mean by that? That criminal left from your hospital and you don't know anything...what the hell", he clenched his jaw at which she lowered her eyes and Asad left the cabin.

"What? That don't know who was he? What do they mean by that?", Dilshad shockingly replied.

"Yes!! I'm not going to leave these people like that", and he started dialling a number when Zoya stopped him, "It's okay Mr. Khan these people have treated me, and that man he took me here."


Asad gave her a glare and replied, "So what?"


"So", she rested her head on the head board and continued, "You know what galati us admi se jyada meri thi. Andhera itna tha ke mujhe kuch dikh bhi nahi raha tha to driver ko kese dikhega"

She continued herself, "main dekh ke kabhi nahi chalti...aap ko to pata hai", and she looked into his eyes which reminded him of their first meeting at the desserted area and the first fight as well.


She forced herself to not looking into his eyes and continued saying, "And on the top of that he took me here"

"Aur rahi baat hospital staff ki to unhe kaise pata chalega ke hospital ke bahar koi kisi ko ab behosh chod gaya", she finished herself.

"But...", he was about to say something but she interrupted, "let it be"


"Haan Asad she is right, Zoya is fine that is enough for us", Dilshad added.


Asad rolled his eyes and left the room in anger.

Dilshad followed him leaving Zoya with Najma and rested a palm on his shoulder at which he turned around and remain quiet with anger.


"Asad ab jane do", Dilshad said.

"Kya jane doon ammi, agar use kuch ho jata to kya karta main...kya jawab deta main khud ko bataiye", he panicked but she could witness tears in his eyes.


She caressed his shoulder and replied, "You are right but, we don't know kaha hoga wo...hum kya kar sakte hai?"


"Mujhe bahut dar lag raha hai ammi", he mummbled and hugged his mother, "Jab se wo yaha aayi hai problems are around her", and a tear droplet rolled from his cheeks.

"Agar aaj use kuch ho jata to main kabhi apne aap ko maaf nahi kar pata...mujhe lekar jana tha use sath mein driver ko nahi...", he parted away from Dilshad and held her palms and asked, "Ammi! Ek accident mein maine apna pyaar khoya tha ab...", but before he could continue a nurse interrupted.

"Sir! Raat mein sirf ek hi visitor hospital reh sakta hai", she informed.

Asad wiped his tears and without any delay said, "Ammi! Aap Najma ko lekar ghar jaiye, I will be here"


"Main ruk jati..", he cut her words, "Please ammi", at which she nodded in agreement but noticed the care which Asad had for Zoya.


 She had an idea about her son's feelings for Zoya which were not to the CARE, they were something more than that, and she wanted to hear that but destiny didn't gave that chance to her, but she was waiting for the day.


She kissed Zoya's forehead and said, "Take care.", at which she nodded her head and Najma to held her hand and kissed and then both the mother daughter duo left the hospital and Asad remained at the hospital.
