Chapter 18

Sid got tensed when he could not found Roli in her room, after reaching home. Getting to know from the servants that Roli was in his room, he headed towards it. He was surprised when he entered the room and found her holding the pinkie promise painting and staring at it with smile. 

Hearing the foot steps, roli raised her head, finally coming out of her dreamland. She got up and went near him with the same smile, making him amused. 

"You have kept all these till now?" Roli looked at him, her eyes were still moist. 

"Those hold our memories so have to keep close" Sid replied softly, making a tear escape her eyes. But, even before it would slide down her cheek, he wiped it off with his thumb. 

"From when you have started crying? Don't you used to say that only weak people cry and that you are so strong?" Sid spoke as he gently wiped away her tears. 

"I'm crying because of you" roli sobbed, shoving his hand away. 

"What did I do?" Sid was puzzled but got surprised the next second as roli fell on his chest, wrapping her arms around his waist. 

"Do you even know how much I've missed you all these years?" Roli complained like a kid while Sid smiled and embraced her inside his arms. 

"I too missed you as much as you've missed me" Sid replied, hugging her close to his heart. 

"You didn't. If you really missed me then you would have returned long back" getting up from his chest, roli stared at him. 

Sid just smiled as he cupped her face and softly pecked her forehead. If he had a choice, he would not even went away from her in the first place. But, he was held up with his father's stupid condition. 

"If you dare to leave me again then be sure I will kill you no matter wherever you are" grabbing his collar, roli warned him. 

"I will not" Sid smiled even more after watching her getting back to her own self of being a sherni. 

"You better remember your words" Roli said in a threatening way while her eyes shed tears as she hugged him again. 

"Stop being a cry baby now" Sid gently stroked her hairs, feeling relieved to finally have his Roli back to him. 

Roli stopped crying eventually as Sid continued to embrace her in his warmth. They both were not in the mood to let go of the other. They had missed each other like anything for such a long time that now they could not bear a second of separation. 

Sid broke the hug, cupped her face in between his palms and said "I will never leave you again. I promise you". 

He enunciated each and every word while his piercing eyes bore in to hers as if they were speaking to her heart through her eyes. Roli nodded her head with smile amongst tears in her eyes. With that he knew that he was successful in gaining her trust again. 

Moving closer to her, Sid caressed her cheek with his thumb while his gaze landed on her quivering lips. As he moved further towards her lips, roli felt a tangle in her stomach. Closing his eyes, Sid slowly captured her lips with his, making her shiver. 

Roli shut down her eyes instantly at the touch of lips. She couldn't understand anything as she stood rooted to the ground. Finding no response from her, Sid left her lips after a small peck. 

Realising she was not ready for it, Sid did not want to continue making her feel uncomfortable. He joined his forehead with hers, making her relaxed while his palms still cupped her face.

Early morning sun rays hit the room through the glass window and landed on Sid's face, disturbing his sleep. With quivering eyelids, Sid slowly opened his eyes to witness the scene he had dreamt of for since forever. 

Roli was sleeping, hugging his left arm like a kid. Sid smiled watching her sleeping peacefully. Brushing off a strand of her hair, Sid kissed her forehead, waking her up. 

"Why are you staring at me like this?" Roli asked groggily, finding his eyes fixed on her as soon as she opened her eyes. 

"Coz I love you" Sid confessed so directly that made roli fully awake.

"And I hate you" Roli sat up on bed, shoving away his arm she was holding on to. 

"Why so?" Sid too sat up and looked at her. 

"Coz you made me wait for you for a long time" taking a pillow, roli hit him on his shoulder. 

"We are not talking about that again" Sid stated as if he was not interested in talking about the time they were not together. 

Rolling her eyes, roli turned her face away while her eyes fell on the wall clock. 

"Holy shit!" Roli's eyes widened as she got down from the bed "it's 8:30!" She hit her head While Sid watched her with a frown. 

"Why didn't you wake me up instead of staring at me? Now I'll be late to office" she hurriedly took her things and rushed in to washroom. Sid sighed shaking his head. 

A little while later roli came out while Sid was not there in the room. She got ready within few minutes and was prepared to leave when Sid entered the room with a glass of milk and bread toast. 

"Have this" Sid forwarded the plate to roli. 

"I don't have time for this. I'm already late" roli collected her bag while Sid held her hand and stopped her. 

"No one is going to scold you for being late. It's your office, Roli" Sid stated, making her to sit on couch and made her drink milk. 

After finishing milk, though reluctantly, roli spoke "I don't want any special treatment in office. I don't want any privileges of being your wife". 

Roli said it bluntly and didn't even realize her own words. But, Sid seemed pleased after hearing the word "wife" from her. 

"Now I should leave. Bye" roli stood up and rushed out, holding her bag, leaving Sid behind in all smiles. He was so happy that she had accepted their legal wedding. Perhaps, even unknown to herself.

As Sid had told, no one made a complaint about Roli for being late to office. And she very well knew it was all because of Sid. She really did not like the special treatment but, there was nothing she could do about it. 

At evening, after office hours got over, Roli went to a shopping mall as Trisha had requested her to do some shopping on her behalf which she couldn't do due to her busy schedule. 

After buying the things that Trisha had listed down, Roli reached the parking area and dumped the shopping bags in to the car. Sitting in the back seat, she was about to close the door when a car suddenly drove in with high speed and dashed to the door, making it flew away. 

Being startled, Roli moved back, holding her hands close to her body. Everything happened in a span of few seconds and she was damn shocked. 

"Madam, are you alright?" Driver turned back and asked roli, concerned. 

"I think so" roli let out a deep sigh as she finally realised what had happened. 

Composing herself, Roli stepped out and found the car that dashed her car being parked in a little distance. A woman got down from driver's seat of that car, following by a man from the passenger seat. 

When Roli found them walking away without bothering to look back and see what damaged they had caused, she felt furious. 

"Are you blind?" Roli shrieked, walking near them, making them turned to her. They were the only people in parking area other than Roli and her driver. So, they understood roli was addressing them. 

But, the moment the woman turned around, Roli was a little stunned as the woman was Nia Mehra, one of the top actresses and also the woman with whom Sid's wedding was declared a few days ago. 

"Any problem?" Nia asked, taking off her goggles. 

"Problem? Do you have any idea of what you've done just now? After dashing in to other's car, how can you just walk away like nothing happened" Roli felt more annoyed at her careless expression. 

Nia looked at Roli's behind and found the car's door was broken. She then looked at roli and said "you are shouting at me for such simple thing?". 

"You think it's a simple thing? What if anything happens to people. And moreover this is a parking area, don't you know it's dangerous to drive in high speed here?" Roli stared at Nia, who was standing with all pride. 

"But, I don't see anything dangerous happened here. Nobody is dead, right?" Nia said, without being bothered by her rash driving. 

"And about your car door, I have a solution for it" Nia spoke and looked at the man, her manager, beside her. 

Nia's manager immediately understood what she meant. Taking out a bundle of cash from his bag, he moved near Roli's driver and stuffed it in to his hands. 

"Take this money and get your car repaired. If it's not enough, I can give you more" Nia said arrogantly.

And it was enough for Roli's temper to get triggered. She always hated the people who feel pride of their money. 

"So you think money can fix everything?" Roli looked straight at Nia as if she was thinking something. Taking a small stone from the ground, Roli thrown it at Nia's car. 

Roli's target was at point and the stone directly hit on car's back glass, making it crash in to pieces. 

"You.." Nia was dumbfounded at Roli's act. Agitated by the damage Roli had caused to her branded luxury car, Nia raised her hand to slap roli. 

But, Roli was quick to react and immediately held Nia's hand even before it could reach her. 

"You just said that money can fix everything, right?" Roli raised her eyebrows and took the cash which Nia's manager gave to her driver.

"Take this money and get your car repaired. If this is not enough, I can give you more" Roli said, placing the bundle of cash in Nia's hands. 

"Oh wait, I don't need to give you more money. Coz you seem to be loaded already. So, use your own money if needed" Roli smiled and turned to leave. 

While Nia stood there, tightly holding the cash in anger, glaring at Roli as she walked away.
