It's too late to apologize , it's too late.

"Mr. Shekhawat, please welcome." VP sir welcomed him with a wide smile, as he did a hand shake with him. 

"Thank you, thank you." Tauji replied and sat on the chair. VP sir too sat on his chair. He called peon and ordered him to bring two coffees. 

"So, what brought you here?" VP sir asked him , wanting to know his reason to come.

"Vo actually taani messaged me to pick her up." Tauji replied. 

" Is she okay? She could've go with swayam. Why did she called you? " VP sir asked out of curiosity.

" I hope she is fine. Kal bhi uski tabiyat thik nahi thi. Meri hi galati hai jo uski baat mani. " Tauji said.

Meanwhile peon came and placed two cups of coffee on table. Both of them took it. 

"Taani ko bula ke lao." VP sir ordered him as he took a sip of his coffee. " Don't worry Mr. Shekhawat , taani abhi a jayegi."

Tauji nodded silently hoping about taani's wellness.

Taani was walking in the corridor lost in her thoughts. She even forgot that she messaged her tauji to come and pick her up. She was going towards girls locker room when peon came and informed her to meet vp sir immediately. Putting away her thoughts, she changed her route and went to his office.

When she reached there, she saw tauji sitting there with VP sir. Are , me to bhul hi gayi tauji ko bulaya tha. Taani, jaldi se ye roni surat thik kar. She stood at the entrance, adjusted her hairs and went in.

Both of them looked at her as she entered. It wasn't hard to guess by looking at her face that she was not at all good. Her eyes looked tired, reason unknown to both of them. Tauji stood up and went near her.

"Taani? You okay beta?" He asked her, hoping for a positive reply.

" Ha tauji, i am okay. Chinta ki koi baat nahi hai." Taani said to him which calmed him down. " Vo mere lecture khatam ho gaye hai so I messaged you to pick me up."

" Thank god. I thought you fell sick again. " Tauji said , as both of them sat on chair. After chit chatting for few more minutes they left.

Rey ran towards fire exit as he couldn't find taani anywhere. I know agar tum kahin nahi mili to yahi milogi. He opened its door and got disappointed. Yaha bhi nahi ho. Where are you taani? He sat there , thinking about past few days and their relationship. Suddenly there was lack of conversation between them. They hardly talk and misunderstandings were there without reason. Moreover, he had to hide his identity of being a dancer which was very difficult for him. But , afterall it was for his love. How could he deny this. 

He stood up suddenly as he remembered tauji went to VP sir's office. Taani zarur unke sath hogi. He ran out of fire exit. 

He reached there and saw taani was coming out of VP sir's cabin and behind her was tauji. He stopped there as he saw him behind her. A second thought came in his mind about his talk with her, but then he shrugged all thoughts and reached to her.

"Taani" he called her, making taani surprise a little bit. Rey ko is waqt rehearsal hall me hona chahiye. Yaha kya kar rahe hai? She gave him a confuse look.

"Vo actually tumse baat karni thi." He said and looked at tauji, who gave him a stern look.

"Abhi no GS talks. Jo bhi baat karni hai Myra se karo as she is in charge of taani's duties." Tauji said to him. He could not speak further. His mind was blank, what to answer now. He was her tauji afterall.

"Rey i will talk to you later." Taani said, and followed tauji who started walking away.

At least tum kesi ho itna to bata deti taani. Rey sighed as he looked at her back, slowly going away from her. Don't know why, but he felt like taani is actually going away from him.

Taani was sitting on the window. Cool breeze was playing with her hairs and it was drizzling outside. Tauji was away for some work. Swayam just went in his room after checking on her health. She remembered ShaRey convo. Did She fell in love with him so much that she totally ignored herself? May be , or may be not. For her, love was important but what rey said was true too. Her inner voice said to her , and made her think about it. But its not that i am not serious about my career. May be i am less ambitious than rey but that doesn't mean i just want to get married and have kids. I also want my own identity, though I haven't think about it yet. But , that doesn't mean i will never think about it. And rey, how could he even think about doing a breakup. Fake or real , whatever it is. How can he play with my feelings? She stood up , took her bag and walked out.

Rey was lying down on his couch and looking at taani's photo. Call karu ya nahin? He surfed through contacts and was about to call her when door bell rang. He stood up and opened the door. His eyes popped out when he saw taani in front of him.  It was her second time at his house. He remembered how she marched in his house last time, giving him tashan and found swayam and ashi in his home. He laughed, forgetting that taani was standing in front of him.

"Has kyu rahe hai?" Taani asked him, breaking his thoughts.

"Nahi vo... Vo.... Kuch bhi nahi." Rey tried to hide it. "Tum andar aao na." 

Taani came in and she too remembered their previous meet at his home, but did not show him. Due to drizzling, water droplets were on her. Rey gave her a towel to dry herself while he went to make coffee for both of them.

After few minutes rey came back with two cups of coffee and sat beside her. Both looked at each other awkwardly. 

"Me tumhe hi call kar raha tha." Rey said as he took a sip. He observed her, and found her lost in her thoughts.

"Taani?" He called her, breaking her trans. This time she heard him. "I said me tumhe hi call karne wala tha and you came."

" Haan vo...kuch baat karni thi aap se. About past few days, about hiding your identity." Taani replied.

" Haan. Me too actually. I wanted to talk about the same." Rey put aside his cup of coffee and took away taani's cup too. " Taani, i am so sorry. Tauji ko pata chal gaya about my dancing." Rey said, holding taani's hands in his.

" Its okay rey. You don't need to hide anything." Taani said, without looking in his eyes. She was trying hard to control her tears. But rey , he understood what she was trying to do.

"Kya hua taani? Look at me." He made her look at him with his palm. Tears were rolling down on her cheeks. He went near her and wiped her tears. "Now why are you crying taani?"

Taani held his hand as he again tried to wipe her tears. " No rey, you don't need to do this." Taani said and stood up. Anger gathered inside her as she remembered everything. "You don't need to do anything that you aren't willing to." 

" What do you mean taani. Tell me clearly." Rey said.

" You want to hear it clearly then listen. I heard everything you and sharon were talking in rehearsal hall." Taani said and turned only to find a shocked rey. 

"Wh... what....What did you listen?" Rey fumbled a bit, but then spoke. 

He looked at her. Anger and pain , her face was showing both emotions. He tried to find love but failed miserably. 

"Everything. How suddenly i am annoying to you. How my decisions are affecting you.  Also that you are not loving this new taani." She wiped a tear and smiled sarcastically. " Your greatest fake break up plan."

Your greatest fake break up plan. That one sentence rang in his ears again and again. He didn't wanted this to happen. He gave up on that plan, but how to make taani understand that.

"Its not like that taani. Please listen to me." He tried to held her from her shoulder but she took a step back.

" No rey, what should I listen? If you had problem with me you should have come and talk to me. How can you discuss it with a third person? I know Sharon is your best friend but this relationship was ours." Taani said, her voice was breaking now. Sobs started to came out of her mouth. Rey tried to calm her down but it didn't work. Apart from that, rey's phone rang which showed vicky calling. Rey looked at his mobile and then at taani.

"Why are you looking at me? Talk to him." She said, looking away from him. Rey put his phone aside and came to her.

"Taani, it was my mistake. And i realised that. I am so sorry that i thought about fake breakup. That was my stupidity." Rey said , grabbing her hand in his.

" The truth is, everytime you hurt me no matter directly or indirectly. I never complained rey, but this time you did it purposely. How can you think about doing a break up rey? " She sat on sofa and rey followed her.

" Taani, that was my dumbest decision. Trust me. In past few days i realised your importance in my life. When i could not talk with you properly i realised that no matter what i think, i can't live with out you taani." Rey said, tears were rolling down his cheeks too.

"Wow, so if i hadn't ignored you, you would've executed your plan , right?" Taani looked at him and found him finding an answer of her question.

Before rey could speak, his phone again rang. This time it made taani more angry. Before rey could reach for his phone taani took it and threw it on floor. 

"We are having an important discussion here and this people are disturbing us." Her anger was on peak. Rey was shocked, he never saw her this much angry. She never ever reacted like this , never.

"Taani, please calm down." He tried to handle her politely, which backfired on him.

"How can you take decision without discussing with me rey? Tell me. When there are two people in a relationship how can you alone decide our relationship's future?" Taani said, or we can say shouted. The fact that rey was thinking about doing breakup with her was killing her. It was unbearable for her.

"Taani i am sorry. Please , please calm down." Rey tried to make her sit on sofa again, but she was in no mood to listen to him today.

"You wanted a break up , right? Then you will get that rey." Taani said to him, which made his heart beat faster.

"What do you mean taani?" He asked 

" You are free from this relationship rey. Its over. " Taani said. Her face was blank, not a single emotion was showing on her face. She looked at him, who was shocked as hell.

"You are joking , right?" Rey asked, and smiled.

"I am not joking rey. This is what i want now. Everytime you hurt me rey and from now on, i don't want to get hurt by you. You individually took a decision, and now its my decision." Taani said to him.

" No , no. You cant do this taani." Rey held her hand and pull her to his chest. He hugged her tight, as if he don't want her to go from here. "I love you , and you know that taani." Tears were rolling down his cheeks. " I am sorry taani. Please don't punish me this much." He was sobbing now.

Taani slightly pushed him away, making a distance between them. She looked at him and felt a pang in her heart. But how can she forget that he was planning to do a breakup, that too without discussing it with her. 

"Taani please." He held her hands and sat on his knees. Leaning his head on her stomach, he hugged her waist. "I can't live without you taani, i am sorry. Please don't do this." He literally begged to her, hopping that she will change her decision.

" Its too late rey, its too late to apologise." Taani replied. She removed his hands from her waist. "I will not change my decision."

She ran from there, leaving behind a crying rey, feeling his pain. But no one was was there to understand what she was going through. Which made her firm about her decision, no matter what.
