Chapter 12

Next day morning, roli came out from her room, getting ready. Sid was working in his laptop in the hall. 

"I was waiting for you" sid stood up, closing the laptop and walked near her. "come let's have breakfast". 

Roli found all her favourite dishes on the dining table as she sat over there. She felt elated to know sid still remembered her favourite things but, didn't talk to him and continued to have her breakfast silently.

After they were finished with their breakfast, Sid's secretary, Sumit reached there to pick sid. He was stunned to see roli in Sid's house. 

"How many people did you hit with your driving today?" Roli asked sumit, teasingly. 

"None" sumit replied with a puppy face, making roli giggled. 

Sid smiled in relief watching roli in her usual playful self. 

"I have to leave now. If you need anything, they will get it" sid said to roli and instructed the servants to take care of her.

"Wait!" Roli suddenly spoke before sid could leave. Sid looked at her frowned. 

"Wish me luck" roli said With straight face. 

Sid watched her with a smile as It reminded him of how she would always rush to him to hear him wish her good luck before she would attend any examination in the school. 

"Best of luck" though he didn't know what she was about to do, he still wished her. "but, what it is for?". 

"I'm going for an interview today and I'm getting late" roli rushed to her room and returned with her handbag. 

"Wait, I'll drop you" sid suggested, watching her in hurry. 

"No thanks. I can go by myself" roli said bluntly and left the mansion, leaving sid to shake his head with a sigh behind her.

Roli stepped out of the office after attending interview. She was so happy that she got selected for the post she had applied for. 

Taking out her phone, she was about to call trisha to share the news. But, suddenly she was pulled by a strong arm and pushed in to a car, covering her mouth. Her phone slipped from her hand and fell to the ground, crashing in to pieces. 

Roli kept struggling to come out of the tight hold whilst the car drove towards it's destination. Reaching a small house, they brought roli in to it. 

"Leave me" roli shouted after they released her mouth, entering in to the house. 

"Will leave you very soon" she heard a voice and looked at the person in disgust. 

"What the hell do you want now?" Roli lost her cool at the sight of the person. 

"You know what I want very well, roli" said vikram, leaning on to the sofa. 

"And you know very well that I will never give you that" roli stared at him without any fear. 

"How can you be so heartless towards your brother" vikram stood up and walked to her. 

"Brother? You're not worthy to be that" roli sneered at him. 

"I may not be worthy but, atleast for the fact that our father is one, you should accept me as your brother. And I'm always ready to welcome you in to our family anytime you want" vikram said calmly. 

"You call it family where people only run after money but never bother about relations?" Roli looked at him in disdain. She hated those people to the core. 

"Since you're very clear about it, let's not waste the time and get to the point. This is the last time I'm asking you, are you going to transfer your property to me or not?" Vikram didn't show anger at her hatred filled words and stayed calm as he asked. 

"I would rather throw those damn money in to drainage than give it to you" roli stated as her final decision. 

"Then I'm sorry, you left me with no other options" vikram sighed as he took out his phone and dialed some number. Roli watched him with a frown. 

"Hello, do as I told you" vikram told to the person on phone and hung up the call. 

"Feel yourself as lucky to witness my plan executing" he looked at roli and said as he turned the laptop on tea table towards her.  

Roli was shocked at what she saw on the laptop screen. It was a live video of a coffee shop where sid was seemed to be in a meeting with two other people. 

"What are you doing?" Roli lost her confidence once she saw sid in the video. She knew vikram was definitely not up to any good. 

"You refused my request. So, I better go on with my way. Watch the video carefully. Your beloved sid is at gun point" vikram pointed at video where a guy sitting at a distance from Sid's table, holding a gun under the table and pointed at sid. 

"With my one word, he'll pull the trigger. And then sid will..." 

"Shut up! Don't drag sid in to this. He has nothing to do with us" roli yelled. 

"I wouldn't have dragged him. But, right now I can find only him as your weakness. And akash is also not here to help you so, how can I miss out on such a good chance" vikram smiled evilly. 

"So, you have to decide now. Sid or property. If you take too much time to think, it would only cost Sid's life for you" vikram said,  determined. 

Roli didn't even have to think much to decide. Even vikram knew her choice would be Sid only. But, she was going to give in before vikram, making her frustrated. 

"Tell your guy to get out of that place" roli said gritting her teeth. No matter how angry she would be at sid, she couldn't let him get hurt. Definitely not because of her. 

"That's like a good girl. Sign these papers then he'll leave" vikram excitedly took a bunch of legal papers and gave to her. 

"I'll sign only after confirming myself of Sid's safety" roli said, clear mindedly. Knowing well about vikram, she couldn't take any chance. 

"Why should I believe you? What if you don't sign after knowing sid is safe?" Vikram raised his brows. 

"I said I will sign. I won't go back on my words" roli said with seriousness. 

"If you act smart, I'll have other ways too" vikram said in a threatening way, called his guy in the coffee shop and ordered to leave the place. 

"You don't need to think of other ways" roli pulled the papers from him and signed after watching the guy leaving the coffee shop.

"Take these and never ever show your shitty face again to me" after signing, roli thrown the papers at vikram, which he caught with smile. 

"This is the only thing kept us connected till now. I won't disturb you anymore, my dear sister" vikram said with a victorious smile. 

"I don't have a coward brother like you" roli looked at her stepbrother with hatred and left the place furiously. 

Roli noted the name of the coffee shop while watching the video. So, she directly went towards it, catching a taxi. 

But, by the time she reached there, sid left already. She even lost her phone and couldn't call him which made her even more frustrated. 

She was still scared about his safety. She knew vikram wouldn't do anything after getting the proper. But, she was still worried for sid. 

After scratching over her mind, she thought he might be at his office. She then went to his office.

Without bothering about the staff in the office, roli directly walked in to Sid's cabin. Sid was reading some files, while sumit was standing near him with some more files.

Both sid and sumit were stunned as roli barged in without knocking on the door. 

"Roli" sid closed the files and walked to her. He was surprised to see her in his office at that time. 

"Can't you have meeting inside your office? What's the need to go out?" Roli slammed her bag on to the table and yelled at sid. 

"What happened, roli?" Sid held her shoulders and asked. He got worried to watch her tensed face. 

While sumit stood in shock as he had never seen someone shouting at his boss. What made him even more surprise was, sid staying calm even after roli yelled at him. 

Roli didn't respond as she wouldn't want to tell whatever happened to Sid and make him worried. 

"Nothing" After seeing sid safe and sound, roli was calmed down.

Sid was unaware of whatever happened in the coffee shop as Vikram's guy held the gun hiding it from everybody. He wasn't convinced of roli's response. But, didn't force the actual reason out of her and decided to talk to her later.
