Zohaib Siddiqui denies joining the show post-leap, Calls reports False

The popular Star Plus show Jhanak is all set to take a major 20-year leap, bringing significant changes to its storyline and characters. As reported earlier by India Forums, this leap will mark a turning point for the show, as current lead actors Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja will exit the series. A completely new cast will be introduced to take the story forward.

With news of the leap, several rumours have surfaced about who might join the show next. One name that gained attention was Zohaib Siddiqui, known for his role in Imlie. Many believed that he had been approached to play a lead role in Jhanak after the leap. However, Zohaib denied these reports in a recent interview with a leading portal.

He clarified that the news about him joining the show is not true. According to him, he had been approached earlier for a different role in the series, but things didn’t work out at that time. He confirmed that he is not currently a part of Jhanak and has no plans to join the show.

As the makers continue finalizing the new cast for the post-leap phase, fans eagerly await updates. The leap is expected to go on air in June 2025. India Forums had already reported that Hiba Nawab, Krushal Ahuja, and Chandni Sharma would all leave the show after the generational leap.

There is also buzz that television actress Erica Fernandes has been approached to play the lead role and take over from Hiba Nawab. While nothing has been confirmed yet, her entry could bring a fresh energy to the series.
