To ensure the smooth running of the whole country post independence, the Constitution was drafted and it came to effect on January 26, 1950. And as India celebrates its 73rd Republic Day with pride and honor, we  got in touch with actor Aditya Deshmukh of Sony SAB show 'Ziddi Dil Maane Na'.

Deshmukh essays the role of Faizi in the show and in a brief chat about Republic Day, the actor shared his thoughts on the same and also opened up about his childhood memories.

Aditya said, "Republic Day has always been one of those occasions that fills your heart with immense pride. I remember getting ready early in the morning for our society's flag hoisting ceremony when I was very young. Following the ceremony, everyone sang the national anthem, and there were small events such as singing and dancing to patriotic songs".

He added, "Later that evening, everyone would watch a film about our patriotic heroes. As an actor playing a cadet on Ziddi Dil- Maane Naa, I draw inspiration from our freedom fighters such as Bhagat Singh. This year, I wish and pray for the happiness of the country, and that everyone lives with this togetherness in their hearts".

Here's wishing the readers of India Forums a very happy Republic Day.
