ZEE5’s Kaali 2: An Intriguing Storyline Packed with Compelling Performances!

The season one of ZEE5 series Kaali which ended on a cliffhanger received a great response from the fans and the season 2 of the action thriller is finally out. The series starring Paoli Dam, Abhishek Banerjee, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Vidya Malavade and Abhishek Banerjee will once again take you on a journey of a fierce Mother who will go to any heights for the protection of her child. The series which released on 29th May is directed by Rohan Ghose and Aritra Sen and is released in both Hindi as well as in Bangla on ZEE5. 

Kaali 2 which consists of 8 episodes starts off by showcasing the new life of Kaali, who is now a Salon owner in Kolkata, leaving behind her past. But will her past leave her? While in season one, Kaali found herself in the midst of the drug lords to save her son Sunny from dying, the season 2 promises even more thrill and conflicts in Kaali’s life. Setup in the backdrop of Kolkata, Kaali finds herself in the middle of gang war and the drug lords. Abhishek Banerjee as Sonu will enter Kaali’s life as Shanghai’s drug lord who is adamant in getting Kaali. Will Kaali be able to herself and her son this time again? For that you’ll have to watch the series on ZEE5.

The series commences with flashbacks and the real time incidents, both placed up extremely carefully, not making it too confusing for the audience. Paoli Dam as Kaali once again puts in her best foot forward in each scene. Kaali is fierce, powerful, determined and is ready to risk anything to save her son. 

The most captivating part about the series will be it’s phenomenal performances by all the Actors. Paoli Dam, once again showcases the strength and the power of a Mother who will give her all for the protection of her son. Vidya Malavade is seen as a police officer and has very convincingly shown her different avtaar with the action sequences. Abhishek Banerjee who was also recently seen in Paatal Lok has engrossed the viewers with his performance right from the start. 

Chandan Roy Sanyal who is seen as a underworld don will give a new touch to the series. Chandan who is seen tied to his wheelchair throughout the show will showcase the brilliance in his acting abilities and will keep the viewers glued to the series. Rahul Banerjee can be seen in a convincing role struggling between fulfilling his duties as a professional and his love for Kaali. 

Though at times, the series can seem a little slow for a while, it’s acting and the various twists will once again manage to capture the viewer's attention. The show's biggest strenth is it's casting which at no time will make you lose interest from the actual plot. 

The storyline and the plot will once again succeed in captivating the viewers attention. Overall, Kaali 2 is a must watch web series and can surely be added to your binge-watch list.
