Zee TV's 'Ram Bhakt Tulsidas' starring Tarun Khanna & Rati Pandey on HOLD after promos released

Zee TV's upcoming show 'Ram Bhakt Tulsidas' starring Tarun Khanna in the titular role has been reportedly scrapped by the channel. Promos of the show were released a few months ago and created a wave of excitement among the audience who were pretty excited to see this story unfold. However, we have learnt of some exclusive scoop about the show.

As per our well placed sources closely related to the show, the channel has decided to axe the show even after the promos have been released. Our source says, ''Yes, that is true. There are very little chances of bringing the show back. It has been put on hold now and is most probably going to be scrapped.''

While we do not know the exact reason behind the same, our source informs us that the reason behind this decision is primarily because the channel is planning to launch a series of other fictional shows and is busy prepping for the same. ''Title discussion, story narration and other things about the upcoming shows are being done now. Zee Cine awards is also coming up, so the channel wants to focus on that as of now and has hence taken this decision. However, if things work out, the show can be revived too, abtak kuch fix nahi hai, dekhte hai.''

For the uninformed, Tulsidas was a renowned scholar who composed the holy Hanuman Chalisa. The show Ram Bhakt Tulsidas starred Rati Pandey and Tarun Khanna who would be seen essaying the roles of Tulsidas's parents on the show. The show did not get any release date but the promos of the show were released a few months ago.
