Released in 2007, Taare Zameen Par is a heartfelt drama directed by Aamir Khan that delves into the challenges of an 8-year-old boy, Ishaan Awasthi, who grapples with dyslexia. The film chronicles Ishaan’s transformation as his art teacher, portrayed by Aamir, guides him to overcome obstacles and celebrate his unique gifts. Praised for its empathetic portrayal of learning differences, the movie advocates for cherishing the individuality of every child.
To mark the film's 17th anniversary, Tisca Chopra recently posted a nostalgic video on Instagram. In the video, she presents two notes to Darsheel Safary: one listing comforting home-cooked meals like dal, chawal, and sabzi, and the other showcasing tempting junk food options such as pizza and ice cream.
The actress wrote in the caption, “17 years of Taare Zameen Par. Darsheel Safary waiting for a clap back,” and included a disclaimer: “We understand Dyslexia to be a serious issue that affects not just the person with Dyslexia but families too… this reel is for humour only.” Darsheel replied with laughter, “Hahahaha you wait now.”
