YRKKH's Samridhii Shukla on what she'd do if her partner FORGOT their anniversary like Armaan: 'Bura lagta..'

Samridhii Shukla, currently headlining Star Plus' superhit show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,' recently shot for a cooking sequence on the show where her character Abhira cooked 'kachoris' for Armaan on the occasion of their first meeting anniversary and how Armaan forgets the date. Team India Forums spoke to the actress about the sequence, her real life cooking skills and more. Read ahead to know what the actress has to say.

Abhira has cooked 'kachoris' and 'bhaturas' for Armaan in the said sequence. Personally, how much do you know of and enjoy cooking?

Well, I do not personally know cooking that much but my intent is very big. When I want to express my love to someone, I cook. I try. I know I am not good at it but I try. I watch youtube videos and main banati hoon.

Anything you remember cooking for someone when you wanted to make them feel special?

Umm, I remember cooking an omlette and bahut badiya tha honestly. Aur bahut badiya ka matlab hai sach mein usme maine mushrooms ko saute kiya tha, veggies kaate thhe. It was a spanish omlette, so yeah, I did that.

While Abhira is cooking Armaan's favourite 'kachoris' in the said scene, tell us what is Samridhii's personal favourite delicacy?

I love Samosas. I love 'pav bhaji.' Bahut bahut jyda achi lagti hai. Jab bhi pav bhaji aajati hai na tab main over eating karti hoon. Ya toh ghar pe bani hoti hai ya bahar se aajati hai, so both the cases mein main over eating karti hoon. Toh khane ke baad aisa lagta hai ke yaar itna kyun kha liya. But us time pe wo aise naram naram butter mein doobe huye pav hote hai, it is hard to resist for me.

And when was the last time you had a pav bhaji?

I think it has been a month. Dekho agar main jyda khaungi toh main alag version of Abhira lagungi jo ki shayad likha nahi gaya hai. Ya ye log nahi chahte. Toh thoda sa balance karna padta hai but I do not restrict myself as such. It is just main mostly ghar ka bana khana khaati hoon. Bahar ka bhi agar khaati hoon toh I try jitna kum fried food ho. Baaki ek din jaise set pe wada pao aaya tha, usually main yaha nashta nahi karti lekin usdin mann tha toh 2 wada pao kha liye. Toh aise koi restriction nahi hai but balance karti hoon.

In the said sequence, Abhira is expressing her love by cooking for Armaan for their anniversary, however, he still forgets the day. As Samridhii, how would you express your love and what would you do if your partner forgets the day?

I think I would decorate the room. Agar mere paas Abhira ki tarah jyda paise nahi hote toh main woh stick wali candles laati. Those are not very expensive too. So usse sajati aur ek do roses le aati hai aur khana jahan kha rahe hai us table pe I would decorate with the rose petals. I would cook and maybe ek chota sa note bhi likhti. Agar bhul jaata tha toh koi baat nahi, I mean thoda bura lagta but kya kar sakte hai yaar, we are adults, hota hai.
