YRKKH completes 16 years; Rajan Shahi, Samridhii Shukla, Rohit Purohit & others perform pooja on sets

The longest running show on Indian television, Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has completed 16 years this year. This milestone was celebrated by Rajan Shahi, the producer of the show along with Samridhii Shukla, Rohit Purohit and the remaining cast of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on the sets of the show today.

The team of the show along with producer Rajan Shahi was seen participating in a hawan that was organised on the sets of the show. Samridhii Shukla, the lead actress of YRKKH is seen sitting with director Romesh Kalra and producer Rajan Shahi as they perform the havan. Rohit Purohit, Romesh Kalra and other actors can also be seen religiously participating in the havan as they celebrate 16 glorious years of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

For those unaware, Rajan Shahi, the producer of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Anupamaa, has often celebrated every milestone of the show with religious practices like hawan, bringing together the entire cast and crew of his shows. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai completes 16 years this year and is currently in its fourth generation. With Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit currently playing the titular roles.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begun with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra as the titular faces. The second generation of the show saw Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan as the leads, the third generation was led by Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod, whereas, the new generation which initially began with Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami as the leads, is now led by Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit.
