One can not expect Boys to be sane and sweet on Holi, as the festival itself is synonymous with Fun, Full on Masti and Dhamaal..and our small screenstyle icons don't lag behind either. So here they are unplugged, celebrating the festival of colour and joy in their own style… and at their mischievous best.

Shaleen Bhanot:

Any experience of mistaken identity owing to a colored face during Holi?
Yes, I was in the ninth or tenth grade, and I wanted to impress a girl on whom I had a crush. In full ‘Filmi Ishtyle’, I went to color her face, but realized that I got to the wrong girl. The girl laughed a lot at me and I was very much embarrassed.

If you need to play with food instead of colors on Holi, what food would you choose to play with?
Well I love mangoes a lot, so I would probably throw mangoes. But come to think about it, I love mangoes way too much, so I would probably throw all other food items except for mangoes. I’d rather keep the mangoes for myself.

Your most cherished Holi memory?
I think it would have to be the holi celebration that I had last year. I celebrated it with my family members and we had a blast together. It was one Holi that I cherished the most.

Have you ever played a prank on someone for Holi?
I really don’t like playing Holi all that much, but I like to see people get their faces painted with color. I did play a prank on my family once though, when I was in the eleventh standard. We have a printing press and once I mixed the printer cartridge colors along with the holi colors. It was really hilarious to see everyone’s faces which had become black and blue. I did get yelled a lot for that.

Eijaz Khan:

If you need to play with food instead of colors on Holi, what food would you choose to play with?
Food items!! Well, I wouldn’t really like to waste food items on other people, but if I did have the opportunity to throw food items on others, it would have to be eggs. I love the way eggs break on others.

Your most cherished Holi memory?
It would have to be one of my childhood memories of playing holi. We had picked up a friend of ours, Archana, and threw her into a tub of colored water. It was really hilarious.

Have you ever played a prank on someone for Holi?
Well I really don’t like playing pranks on people, so haven’t played any pranks on others.

Sharad Kelkar:

If you need to play with food instead of colors on Holi, what food would you choose to play with?
Rabdi, as it is very tasty and I think people can eat it off their faces if they want to.

Your most cherished Holi moment would be..
I think all my childhood Holi memories, especially when I used to play in our colony. All those days are most memorable for me.

Have your ever played prank on someone on Holi?
No, I never played any prank but my wife played one on me last year. She along with all the other women in our colony threw chocolate syrup on us. At first we were fine with it, but later on when it dried it was very difficult to remove as it had become quite sticky.

Ronit Roy:

If you need to play with food instead of colors on Holi, what food would you choose to play with?
Why should I waste food? We earn and work hard to get food and wasting food is very stupid according to me. I will never do that.

Your most cherished Holi moment would be..
It was at Mr. Bachchan’s house 10 years back where I played Holi along with them. That would definitely have to be my most cherished memory of Holi.

Have your ever played prank on someone on Holi?
No, I have never played a prank on anyone for Holi.

Jay Bhanushali:

Any experience of mistaken identity owing to a colored face during Holi?
Not really, but I would definitely love to do that on purpose. What I will probably do if I do go for a holi party is try and find the prettiest looking girl and go from behind and apply color on her face, and then apologize for my mistake saying I thought it was someone else.

If you need to play with food instead of colors on Holi, what food would you choose to play with?
I will throw spoilt tomato, egg and all spoilt vegetable as they are of no use, so instead of throwing them in the bin we can utilize them in this way.

Your most cherished Holi moment would be..
I used to carry all the girls and throw them into the pond. Once, all the girls decided to throw me into the pond so all of them picked me up and put me in the pond, but as they were throwing me in, I pulled all of them in with me. I was in the pond with around 8 to 10 girls, so that definitely was my most memorable Holi.

Have your ever played prank on someone on Holi?
I have played pranks on people every year on Holi. When we were small and some of our friends were not ready to come down to play Holi with us, we would send someone dressed as a postman and then when the person opened the door, we would pull them out and color them.

Karan Patel:

If you need to play with food instead of colors on Holi, what food would you choose to play with?
I will throw eggs because it has protein which is very good for the hair and it is fantastic and healthy also.

Your most cherished Holi moment would be..
Yet to come!! May be this year because, now that I have become a celebrity I will also be inviting lot of well known faces for my Holi party. So the media might cover it making it my most memorable Holi celebration, what say?.

Have your ever played prank on someone on Holi?
No, I have never played a prank on anyone for Holi.

Sharad Malhotra:

Any experience of mistaken identity owing to a colored face during Holi?
No, never! Especially during Holi, I always make sure that I check who the person is before applying color on them as I wouldn’t want to get beaten on such a happy occasion.

If you need to play with food instead of colors on Holi, what food would you choose to play with?
Ummm… I would probably throw tomatoes, papayas, oranges and watermelons. Tomatoes as they are red and nice and juicy, watermelons as they are what will hit the hardest and papayas will smash nicely on the face.

Your most cherished Holi moment would be..
Every Holi celebration has been a memorable moment for me. But last year was most memorable as my mum was in town and I celebrated Holi with her, my friends and their families. We went to Marine Drive and had a blast just goofing around, throwing colors on everybody and enjoying.

Naman Shaw:

If you need to play with food instead of colors on Holi, what food would you choose to play with?
I would probably throw orange juice as it is very tasty, watery and is very good for the skin.

Your most cherished Holi memory would be..
Well when we were kids, we used to play Holi in Kolkata and it used to be really dirty Holi, wherein we used to just paint everyone with colours.

Have your ever played prank on someone on Holi?
I play pranks on people on a daily basis. And there a lot of pranks I have played on all my friends for Holi, so it’s really difficult for me to recall one of them.

Vineet Raina:

Any experience of mistaken identity owing to a colored face during Holi?
Yeah it happened to me once. We were celebrating Holi in college and there was this one girl who had hair similar to a close friend of mine. So I just went straight up to her and applied color on her face. Only later did I realize that it was someone else. And I was really embarrassed.

If you need to play with food instead of colors on Holi, what food would you choose to play with?
I love rajma so I would probably rub rajma on everyone’s face.

Your most cherished Holi memory?
The mistake I made for Holi(above)

Have your ever played prank on someone on Holi?
Yeah. Back in Jammu, there was a rule wherein the girls had to wear white uniform and they had red chairs with a synthetic coat. We wanted to play a prank on one girl so we covered the chair with red paint, but unfortunately someone else came and sat on that chair leaving a mark on her skirt that left her quite embarrassed.
