The trend of 2.0 shows has definitely taken over and how. Among the recent shows that returned for a season 2 but on the OTT platforms, includes Surbhi Jyoti and Karan Singh Grover Qubool Hai. Also, reports have it that Pavitra Rishta 2.0 is all set to stream on ZEE5 soon, with the lead pair being that of Shaheer Sheikh and Ankita Lokhande.
Keeping that in mind, we decided to curate a list of shows that could use a short second season on the web, especially when some of them did not wrap up with a proper track. As for a bunch of other shows, even though the shows went off-air, they did leave fans wanting more of the story, and well, makers should consider getting the shows back after all.
Drashti Dhami and Vivian Dsena managed to create quite the chemistry back in the time and well, it continues to be one of the most loved shows in all this time. While Vivian did manage to have a perfect angry-young man image, Drashti also did a great job with her character, and both of their characters evolved beautifully on screen.
This youth show was an absolute hit and continues to be an equal hit with the audiences even after all this time. Arjun Bijlani and Rati Pandey made for an amazing couple while Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya Irani won hearts both on-screen and off-screen. Miley Jab Hum Tum was one of the few shows that connected to the characters and a lot more beyond.
Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyar Ke
Coming together for the first time, Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma won the audiences over with their on-screen pairing as Abir and Mishti, respectively. The show happened to go off-air rather abruptly and left fans wanting for more. A 2.0 version for the show would definitely be a treat for the fans.
A rather sleeper success, both Dipika Kakar and Karan V Grover managed to win hearts with this show. Another short run on the television screens, fans of the show continue to remember it for a second season from time to time. Given the splurt on OTT versions of television serials, a finite one on the web could do great.
This multi-starrer with Surbhi Chandna, Nakuul Mehta, Shrenu Parikh, Kunal Jaisingh, Nehalaxmi Iyer, and Leenesh Mattoo was quite the fun ride. The show was under the radar for multiple reasons and was also in the news for going off-air but it did manage to create conversation about a bunch of topics, had amazing visuals and fashion, among other things.
The Harshad Chopda and Jennifer Winget's story as Zoya and Aditya respectively was yet another hit as their chemistry along with the storyline, went really well. With multiple twists and turns that continued to come in with time, it was also one of those shows that went off-air without a proper closure. A 2.0 for Bepannaah would make for a beautiful watch.
This show was an absolute success for multiple reasons and continues to be celebrated. While it is true that the storyline underwent a change, later on, it was Randeep Rai and Ashi Singh's on-screen presence that made up for everything that followed.
