Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is headed for a leap of six years. We will see that Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) and Armaan (Rohit Purohit) now live in different cities. He is raising his daughter, Pookie all alone. It seems he has quit his job as a lawyer and is hosting a late night show on radio named Saathi Anjaana. We do not know Abhira and Armaan are separated. In the current episodes, we are seeing that Armaan has become a super possessive father. He wants to keep a nanny for Pookie but Abhira is against the idea.
