"Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai is a brilliant platform for me." - Amal Sherawat

Best known for his Bollywood movie 'Satya 2', actor Amal Sherawat is currently seen entertaining the audience in Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as Tara's (Umang Jain) elder brother. 

While the actor believes in putting his versatility to test irrespective of the medium, Amal talked about his journey on television and films. 

Amal averred, "I have always been influenced by films and have improved by mimicking the Bollywood stars to groom myself. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai is a brilliant platform as I have been given the opportunity to present myself in a way which is natural. No person is negative or positive in real life. We all have grey shades and my character presents exactly the same thing."

"Also, I have got a chance to do some action sequences which was very unique considering a show revolving around kitchen politics. I will never forget the sequence where we shot about Akshara's life being in danger. We shot with harness and cable equipment in a raw and remote location. This sequence between us will change the entire course of the on-going story." He added.

When asked about his aspirations, Amal said, "I aspire to display my versatility and talent, I believe learning is a never ending process and I wish to keep learning and displaying variations to my characters that I essay in future too."
