'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' heads for a leap; Sirat changes identity to ‘Simran’

Star Plus show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ never seize to surprise the viewers. The show took the biggest twist with Naira’s death in the show post which Naira’s lookalike ‘Sirat’ entered the show. The audience received yet another blow with Karan Kundra’s entry in the show as Sirat’s love interest ‘Ranveer’. While the fans were confused as to how would Sirat and Kartik come closer with Ranveer being in the picture, the makers presented yet another big twist by showcasing Ranveer’s death in the show.

Well, now the makers have yet again introduced an interesting twist. To add some freshness in the story, the makers have apparently introduced a leap of one year in the show. Buzz is that post leap, Sirat will have a new identity and will be named as ‘Simran’. Along with the change in the identity, Sirat will also don a different look.  While Sirat donned a short-hair look, Simran will have long curly hair.

A highly placed source revealed, “Sirat will be seen changing her identity to Simran and will be residing in a different city”.

The current track of the show revolves around Sirat getting the shock of her life after learning that post loosing her love Ranveer, even her Nani passed away. Sirat’s Nani aka Mauri has given Sirat’s responsibility to Kartik on her death bed. Meanwhile, Ranveer’s father has challenged Kartik that he will not be able to save Sirat.

"Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" is produced under Shahi's banner Director's Kut Productions and airs on Star Plus. It features Shivangi Joshi, Mohsin Khan, Swati Chitnis, Sachin Tyagi, Harsha Kandeparkar, Ali Hassan, Shilpa Raizada, and Niyati Joshi.
