Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai recently took a major turn with a seven-year leap. The story now follows the separate lives of Abhira, Armaan, Maira, and Geetanjali. Abhira has been living all these years thinking that her daughter, Pookie, was kidnapped and that Armaan left her behind. Meanwhile, Armaan, who is now staying in Mount Abu with their daughter Maira, believes that Abhira has happily moved on and is living a comfortable, luxurious life without them.

Geetanjali, who doesn’t know anything about Armaan’s past or his emotional struggles, has slowly developed feelings for him. She has grown close to both Armaan and Maira and continues to care deeply for them.
