Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Abhir apologises to Abhira for his past mistakes, reveals he sees Akshara in her

In tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Vidya's confession leads to the court sentencing her to 10 years in prison. In shock, Vidya refuses to accept her fate, insisting that Armaan had promised to save her, but the police proceed to arrest her. Meanwhile, Armaan's mind flashes back to Abhira's actions in the courtroom, recalling how her strategy and influence led to Vidya's confession, which ultimately resulted in her arrest.

The police proceed to arrest Vidya, who collapses unconscious on the ground. Abhira grows anxious seeing Vidya's condition, but when she tries to approach her, Armaan stops her. He accuses Abhira of trying to ease her guilt by offering water to Vidya and tells her to live with the guilt. Manish intervenes and takes Abhira away.

Armaan, however, is determined to take Vidya home for medical care, but the police insist on summoning a doctor to the jail instead. Despite their refusal, Armaan stands firm on his decision, and Madhav supports him.

The doctor later informs Madhav that Vidya is in a state of shock. Manisha tries to console Armaan, urging him to wipe his tears. She reminds him of his plan to file an appeal in the high court. Kaveri suggests that Armaan stop hesitating and seek help from influential people to ensure Vidya doesn't end up in jail.

Elsewhere, Abhir greets Abhira and the Goenkas, dedicating the song "Ek Hazaron Main Meri Behna Hai" to her. Later, he ties a thread around her wrist, and they share a heartfelt hug. Abhir expresses his gratitude to Abhira, thanking her for doing something very few people would do for their family. He acknowledges how he was rude to her, and caused Daksh's truth to come out, which changed her life and led to a fight with Armaan. He says that Abhira had every reason not to stand by him, but despite that, she fought for him, even when it meant going against her in-laws and ensuring justice was done.

Abhira reassures him, affirming her role as his sister, to which Abhir replies, sharing that he feels the same warmth and care from her as he did from their mother, Akshara. He shares how she protected him as a mother would protect her child, and because of her, he doesn't feel the lack of anything, as his brother is by his side. He mentions that if she hadn't fought for him, he wouldn't have been upset, but the way his trust in family and relationships was shaken, today, she's healed all his wounds.

Abhira assures him that she will always be there for him, but in this moment, she must be with Vidya during her difficult time. She explains that she's fulfilled her duty as a sister, but now she must take on her responsibilities as a wife and daughter-in-law. This leaves Abhir surprised, and he quietly pulls his hand away from hers.

Vidya eventually regains consciousness, and Madhav checks on her health. Vidya reveals she had a nightmare about being arrested, where no one supported the Poddars, but when she spots an officer standing outside her room, she realises the truth. Elsewhere, Manoj shares his frustration, blaming Sanjay's false report against Abhir for the lack of support from others. Armaan lashes out at Sanjay, accusing him of being responsible for Vidya's plight.

Later, Vidya is formally arrested, and the police ask her to remove her jewellery. Before leaving, Vidya meets the Poddars, and Kaveri holds Abhira responsible for Vidya's condition. Armaan, overwhelmed with emotion, refuses to embrace Vidya before her departure, unable to accept the truth.

Outside the house, a hostile crowd shouts against Vidya as she is taken away. During the commotion, Abhira arrives at the Poddar house, struggling to reach out to Armaan and Vidya. Armaan shields Vidya from getting hurt from the angry crowd before the police take her away.

As reality sinks in, Armaan is left shattered, desperately wanting to embrace Vidya but unable to. He chases after the jeep, only to stumble and collapse in the middle of the road. Overcome with helplessness, Armaan pleads with Vidya to rescue him from his torment, deeply regretting that he couldn't protect her. Meanwhile, Swarna intervenes, preventing Abhira from approaching Armaan and pulling her away. Abhira insists on meeting him, but Swarna challenges her, questioning if she truly believes Armaan wants her back. Filled with guilt, Abhira blames herself for the pain Armaan is enduring.

Manoj advises Kaveri to console Madhav, who is struggling to cope with Vidya's absence. Kaveri, missing Vidya terribly, learns that Armaan has gone to meet Abhira. Manisha worries that Armaan might confront Abhira in anger. At the same time, Armaan arrives at Abhira's house to meet her.
