The And TV show 'Waaris,' can certainly be termed as one of the biggest underdogs of this year, where the show has managed to sustain its viewership amidst all the assumptions.

The show, since its inception, has been a source of comebacks. While actors Iqbal Khan and Aarti Singh made their comeback with the show, Iqbal's stint was rather short lived. And since then, the position of the male lead has been void.

However, the wait is finally over. According to a leading news portal, actor Ashish Kapoor, who was last seen in the Gautam Rode-Jennifer Winget starrer, 'Saraswatichandra' is all set to make his comeback to TV after 2 years.

Ashish will be seen playing the role of Jay, who will be a happy-go-lucky guy and will believe in living life to the fullest. Sources say that his character will draw similarities from Abhishek Bachchan's character of Bunty in the film, 'Bunty Aur Babli'.

Jay's entry will add spice and change to Amba's (Aarti Singh) life, where Amba will lose her memory after Manu (Saniya Touqeer) will be jailed.
