It's Women's Day! Women all around the world got their chance to cast their first vote on this day and hence the day is celebrated as International Women's Day. Our Indian TV shows are becoming increasingly women oriented these days, which is a good thing; family drama, saas-bahu shows exist, no doubt, but there are some shows who are portraying women in realistic light.
Gone are the days, when they were seen as damsel-in-distress. Now women are strong, independent and highly confident. They don't need men to support them. Let us look at some shows that are portraying women in the most millennial way!

Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai is a Hindi ALT Balaji web series. The story revolves around the married couple Poonam and Rohit and a confident interior designer Ananya. It was a love triangle. The women here never bad mouth each other or indulge in cat fights. They handle all the change of relationships in the most mature way. It seemed realistic when Poonam and Ananya still were good to each other when Rohit married Ananya, leaving Poonam. On the other hand, Poonam also did not spend her days crying. She moved on and started afresh.
