The actress has now added this feather to her already illustrious cap..

It is only amazing when the fans come across stories of their favorite actors being multi-talented and exploring other facets too.

Time and again, we have come across instances, where in recent memory, actresses like Erica Fernandes and Mouni Roy have showcased other talents through social media.

However, it becomes a huge deal, when an actor actually goes ahead and takes that 'talent' into another profession. We are talking about none other than actress Shalmalee Desai, who is also actor Avinash Sachdev's wife.

Shalmalee is best remembered for her role in the Star Plus popular show, 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon... Ek Baar Phir' which was a sequel to the Sanaya Irani-Barun Sobti cult show, 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?'

However, post her acting roles, Shalmalee decided to finally explore her 'other' talent, i.e. writing.

Yes! That's right. The actress is an amazing writer and she has actually pursued her talent as a profession and is currently one of the writers on Colors' show, 'Thapki...Pyaar Ki' and Star Plus' upcoming show, 'Nasthik'.

The actress mentioned that she has always been a reader and writer, where on her husband, Avinash's insistence, she decided to take it up as a profession. Hence, she took up a writing course at Whistling Woods and started working with Shunya Productions, who are responsible for 'Thapki...Pyaar Ki' and 'Nasthik'.
