Woah! Anup Soni Revealed How He Rejected 'Balika Vadhu' Thrice Before Finally Doing It

Some of the most iconic shows usually do have some of the most interesting trivias attached to them, isn't it? That is also the case with a show that wrote a new page in Indian television history - Balika Vadhu.

The show not only made freshly launching Colors a big league contender but also went on to become on of the longest-running and most successful shows of all time.

A major reason for the show to be as successful was the stellar performances of the cast. Apart from a then-little Avika Gor, it had stalwart actors like Surekha Sikri, Anup Soni and Smita Bansal leading the way.

But did you know that when it comes to Soni, he rejected the show not just once, not just twice but thrice? Yes. That's right. In a recent live session with Gor as Balika Vadhu is set for rerun, Soni revealed he rejected the show thrice as he had decided he didn't want to go a TV show at that point of time.

It was his on-screen wife, Smita Bansal to come along with her for the audition as she wanted some known person to play her husband's role. 

After lots of discussion with the makers, Anup finally agreed to have a meeting and things fell into place and as we say, the rest is history.
