Wild ruffle of cards on Aap Ki Antara

Zee TV and Drishtant Media's Aap Ki Antara is on the horizon of another new beginning as it takes its second leap.

Tellybuzz was the first to report that Aap Ki Antara is to take yet another generation leap. However, a huge highpoint in store before the leap is Aditya's death.

According to our source, "Aditya will be shown succumbing to cancer. This phase will be shown in a very emotional manner. Antara, who is very attached to her father, realizes by way of intuition that he is leaving her. So she will pack her bags to accompany him."

"However, this doesn't mean Darshan Pandya is no more part of the cast. He will now play the role of grown up Abhishek," the source reveals.

Adds the source, "Prabhleen Sandhu was already apprehensive about playing mother and with her onscreen kids growing so big (the kids will be shown in the age group of 22-25 years); she has given it up to play mother. The makers had approached Neena Gupta, Mona Ambegaonkar and Shilpa Tulaskar but they declined the offer. Finally Kshitee Jog has been rounded in upon. She was last seen in Zee's Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan."

The source goes on, "Mansi Parekh was approached to play the grown up Antara, but it is the relatively new face, Anjum Farooki who bags the role of the 21 year old Antara. She was last seen in Zee's Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, as daughter of Loha Singh (Sudesh Berry)."

The source further tells us, "Abhishek who had issues with Antara being the centre of his parents' attraction is presently shown leading a hostel life. He is disillusioned with family ties. However, post-leap there will be an amazing sibling chemistry between Abhishek and Antara."

"Antara will see her father's face in her brother. She realizes its Abhishek, but calls him Papa…it's a way of dealing with her father's death. The grown up Abhishek understands his calling and takes full responsibility of Antara after Aditya's death," the source tells us.

We tried calling both Darshan Pandya and Kshitee Jog, but they were unavailable.

Producer Mohnish Sekhri says, "We had always planned Darshan Pandya as Abhishek. Prabhleen Sandhu is no more part of the show. We are looking for faces to play Vidya, Antara and Billu. We should get the names finalized by today evening."

Aditya's death will be shown on Tuesday, 26th January and the leap will take place in the later part of the same week.
