One of the breakout shows from last year enabled to present a breakout talent - When They See Us presented Asante Blackk.
Blackk played the role of Kevin Richardson, one of the members of the Exonerated Five in the popular Central Perk case and he has been nominated for multiple Critics' Choice Awards, where the other one is for his role in This Is Us.
Blackk, recently in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter opened up on how we wish to star in the Training Day remake. He said, "I do have a dream role. I'm not too fond of remakes, but I would make an exception if I was able to remake Training Day and play Denzel [Washington]'s role, that would be absolutely amazing. I'd love to dive deep into that character because he made it so iconic, so I want a shot at that."
Blackk also opened up on if he is still in touch with the Exonerated Five as he said, "Definitely. I talk to Kevin all the time. He's truly like an uncle to me. We keep in touch as much as we can because we don't just want to see each other at certain events, so we really try to keep that bond close-knit."
