The star plus household show 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya' has been ruling the charts since 2010. But, the times are changing for these long running shows. News about leads of major shows walking out has been doing the rounds for a while this time around, it is time for Saath Nibhana Saathiya to see a major exit.

One of the most appreciated and well known character, known for her dialogue delivery and strong hindi is leaving the show.

Yes, you guessed it right, we are talking about none other than Rupal Patel aka Kokila Modi. There were also rumours about Tanya Sharma aka Meera leaving the show because she didn't want her character to age post-leap. However, the actress stayed back.

The makers are now adding new actors to maintain the show's position on the trp charts. Rupal Patel has played a vital role in keeping show's popularity intact. As per reports, Rupal's character will be exiting the show. "It will so happen that Bhavani will be planning to harm gopi (Devoleena bhatacharjee) and take back her step- daughter sita with her and will try to kill 'Gopi' by a hiring sharp-shooter. However, Kokila comes to know about this and she will take the bullet by saving Gopi."
