In the wake of criticism his film received by the chairman of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Nadav Lapid, Vivek Agnihotri expressed his disappointment for the same. Early Tuesday morning, the director took to his handle to post a cryptic tweet that read, 'Truth is the most dangerous thing. It can make people lie.'
He made his tweet shortly after main actress and producer Pallavi Joshi of "The Kashmir Files" joined the chorus of people denouncing Israeli filmmaker and screenwriter Lapid's remarks.
Agnihotri issued a challenge to people who were critical of his film in his most recent tweet, asking them to identify the allegedly inaccurate claims in the movie that he claims were collected through 700 interviews with Kashmiri Pandits. He shared a video of himself and captioned it as, "Terror supporters and Genocide deniers can never silence me. Jai Hind"
For the unversed, the Israeli film-maker also observed at the closing ceremony in Goa how the jury was "disturbed and shocked" that the film was screened at the festival, inciting a row in different circles.
