Vishal's 'Poojai' slated for Diwali release

Vishal Krishna-starrer Tamil actioner "Poojai", which will go on floors Friday, is slated to release during Diwali. It will lock horns with Vijay-starrer "Kaththi", which is also releasing during the festive occasion.

"The regular shooting of 'Poojai' will start from tomorrow (Friday). It will release during Diwali," read a statement from the film's production house.

Shruti Haasan is paired with Vishal for the first time in the film, which will be directed Hari Gopalakrishnan.

Meanwhile, Vishal is currently enjoying the success of his latest Tamil release "Naan Sigappu Manithan".
