Vikrant Massey's latest film, '12th Fail,' has been bucking up at the box office, showcasing an inspiring academic drama that resonates with audiences. The film, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, had a solid opening weekend but saw a slight decline in collections on Monday.
As per early estimates reported by Sacnilk.com, '12th Fail' collected approximately Rs 1.2 crore on Monday, bringing its total to rs 8.2 crore after four days of release. The film, which revolves around the incredible journey of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi, has been gaining positive attention for its engaging narrative. On Monday, '12th Fail' recorded a 10.04 percent Hindi occupancy, which is quite commendable.
The film's performance is notably better than its competitor, Kangana Ranaut's 'Tejas', which struggled to connect with the audience, earning only Rs 4.25 crore over the same four-day period. 'Tejas' faced a particularly lackluster Monday, with collections amounting to just Rs 50 lakh.

'12th Fail' is based on Anurag Pathak's best-selling novel and stars Vikrant Massey in the lead role, alongside Medha Shankar. The film touches upon themes of determination, ambition, and overcoming the odds to achieve something seemingly impossible.
India Forums' '12th Fail' review excerpt read, "The biggest win for 12th Fail is that it tugs your heartstrings and connects in every manner possible. At its outset, it is the age-old saga of a man fighting incredible odds to achieve something that was impossible and unheard of, but Chopra finds the beating heart, the soul and the human emotions so fabulously well that they become the perfect garb to convey the impossible dream."
Produced by Zee Studios, "12th Fail" has been released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The film also features an ensemble cast, including Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, Sanjay Bishnoi, and Priyanshu Chatterjee.
The film's compelling narrative and Vikrant Massey's stellar performance have struck a chord with the audience, making it a success at the box office.
