Vijayendra Kumeria: Saying that only rich should be allowed in Goa is a loose statement

Vijayendra Kumeria’s television career is proof that the actor has been particular about the kind of projects he associates himself with and most importantly the character he says yes to. Be it Chotti Bahu, Tumhari Paakhi, Udaan, Naagin 4 or his ongoing show Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha (ANNS), the actor has been making his presence felt in the industry. 

His fans love him both for the kind of actor he is and the way he conducts himself in real life. The versatile actor loves visiting Goa because the vibes of the state are amazing. But what the tourism minister recently said is something which he thinks is something which shouldn’t have been said in a time like this.

He said, “I read the tweet and it came across as a disrespectful and discriminatory statement. This kind of thought process shouldn’t be there. In this century talking about rich and poor is really bad. What he is trying to say depicts that the rich are all good and they don’t do anything wrong and all the poor are to blame for the wrong things happening and that is not the reality. It's very sad that people with such mindsets are in these kinds of positions. He said that he wants people to respect the state’s culture but that doesn’t mean that the poor are disrespecting it in any way.”
