Vijay Deverakonda Breaks Silence on Dating Rumours, Confirms He's Not Single

Vijay Deverakonda, known for keeping his personal life under wraps, has finally opened up about love, relationships, and marriage. While promoting his music video Sahiba in Mumbai, the actor shared some rare insights during an interview.

When asked about unconditional love in an interview with Curly Tales , Vijay candidly said,

I know what it is to be loved, and I know what it is to love. I don’t know if it’s unconditional because my love comes with expectations. I don’t know of any love that comes…maybe there is, maybe it’s my ignorance of it. At the end of the day, it’s a good thing to be loved. Everything else is over-romanticised. I think it’s okay to be conditional in love.”

The revelation didn’t stop there. During a game of Never Have I Ever, the actor made headlines by admitting he has dated a co-star. He further added, “I have (dated a co-star before). I'm 35, you think I would be single? We all have to (get married) at some point unless it's a choice not to.”

The actor’s comments have reignited curiosity around his love life. Back in 2018, rumours began swirling after Belgian national Virginie shared photos with Vijay and their families. Although initially dismissed as edited, subsequent pictures and Vijay’s frequent travels to Europe added fuel to the speculation. The actor has often referred to Europe as his “happy escape from the chaos of work, a break from the abnormality of being an actor, and most importantly, my food heaven.”

Additionally, Vijay has long been linked to his Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade co-star Rashmika Mandanna. Rashmika has shared photos from Vijay’s home and is often seen spending time with his family, leading fans to believe the duo might be more than just friends. Their seemingly coordinated vacations—evident from shared pictures—have further fueled dating rumours. However, Vijay has never publicly commented on his relationship with Rashmika, keeping fans guessing about the nature of their bond.
