Pan-India star Vijay Deverakonda, was recently questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at their office in Hyderabad on his recently released film "Liger." According to reports from Times Now, a prominent Telangana politician is accused of investing millions of dollars that were sent to him from abroad.
For the unversed, actor and producer Charmee Kaur as well as director Puri Jagannadh were recently called by the ED after receiving a complaint alleging that "Liger" received foreign funding, including money from the hawala system.
Recently, the ED questioned Puri Jagannadh and Charmee Kaur. Actor Vijay Devarakonda appeared at the ED office today after being called in for interrogation.
Well the film was a pan-India release but failed to live up audiences expectations. The film features Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in lead roles. Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Ali and Makrand Deshpande played supporting roles in the film. Liger was jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur and Karan Johar.
