Taking to his Instagram account, Vicky Kaushal posted images of him smiling as Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Malhotra are reading the script. The URI actor was spotted grinning with his co-stars while wearing a white shirt, denim, and a hat. During the Sam Bahadur script reading, the cast and crew were joined by director Meghna Gulzar and producer Ronnie Screwvala. Sharing the photos, Vicky wrote,
"Reading together, a story we are honoured to tell. Of a Soldier and a Gentleman. Our Samबहादुर."
Vicky will play Sam Manekshaw, the Indian Army's Chief of the Army Staff during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War, in Meghna Gulzar's film. He was also the first commander in the Indian Army to be given the title of Field Marshal. Vicky appeared in the opening shot with a moustache and an army suit, precisely like Sam Manekshaw.

Now the actor took to his social media account and shared a slew of images from the reading session of Sam Bahadur session in which the film's producers, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra participated.
Fans were intrigued and eager to see Vicky put on the uniform to portray a distinguished figure once more. The announcement of the female leads, Sanya and Fatima, also brought about cheer among fans. The film is helmed by Meghna Gulzar and it marks Vicky's second collaboration with her after Raazi. It is being produced by RSVP Films and will go on the floors soon.
Apart from this, Vicky has a bunch of projects in the pipeline. He will be a part of Govinda Naam Mera alongside Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. He will also be seen in Laxman Utekar's next with Sara Ali Khan.
