Vicky Kaushal in Talks for Two Blockbusters: Teaming Up with Ranbir Kapoor and Entering Alia Bhatt's Cinematic

Vicky Kaushal, one of the busiest actors in Bollywood, is reportedly in discussions for two major projects with Yash Raj Films (YRF). After his recent appearance in Bad Newz (2024), Vicky is gearing up for his next release, Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar. The historical drama, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna, focuses on the life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Additionally, Vicky is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated Love & War alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.

According to a report by Peeping Moon, Vicky has already had discussions with YRF head Aditya Chopra, who is keen on casting him in two upcoming projects. One of these is believed to be part of the YRF Spy Universe. A source revealed, “Aditya has grand plans for expanding the YRF Spy Universe and aims to introduce fresh faces to carry forward the legacy established by the Khans. He wants Vicky to headline one of the standalone cop films, bringing new energy to the expanding cinematic universe. However, this is still in the planning stages, as they are waiting to see how Alpha, the film introducing Alia Bhatt and Sharvari to the Spy Universe, performs at the box office.”

The second project speculated to involve Vicky is Dhoom 4. While rumors about Ranbir Kapoor playing the antagonist in the film have circulated for most of 2024, the latest buzz suggests Vicky may step into the role of a cop, potentially replacing Abhishek Bachchan’s iconic portrayal of A.C.P. Jai Dixit from the first three films. This would set the stage for an exciting chase between Vicky and Ranbir in what promises to be a thrilling addition to the Dhoom franchise.
