After the sprawling success as Rana Uday Singh in Jodhaa Akbar, Surendra Pal is all set to get into the robe of a very religious person in Ratna Sinha’s Babul Ka Angann Chootey Naa on Sony. The actor who is seen nowadays in the Star Plus afternoon soap Kumkum Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan also plans to come up with a Bhojpuri film.
All excited about his role in Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Naa, the veteran actor says, “I play dadaji of the Ranawat family, who stays far away in an ashram. The person is very religious and the best part is that he can foresee the future. With his powers, he senses that there is a person or a spirit who is creating trouble for his family, and hence comes back to help them”. When asked about the duration of the role Pal states, “Dadaji will always be around and will try to tackle the problems staring at his family, and will eventually succeed in keeping the black spirit away”.
His entry episode will be clouded with mystery wherein the protagonist Aastha is in the jungle, searching for her partner. “I see Aastha there, and she is at first terrified to see me”, explains Surendra Pal.
Lastly, the actor describes his look and quips, “The person will sport complete white hair, and as he is a devotee of Lord Shiva, has three small lines on his forehead. I will also be seen wearing pure pearl stones as it symbolizes peace”.
