Veteran actor Mumtaz will always be remembered for her iconic roles in the 70s where she was a part of multiple superhits. Since her days in the movies, the actor actually quit the industry just as we were about to enter the 1980s and did not star in any project ever since.

There have been some instances when the actor has been in news and that has mainly been for her health. In fact, a couple of weeks ago, the actor was admitted into the hospital where it was reported she has a stomach infection.

In a recent interview, Mumtaz opened up on the same where she revealed that she suffers from irritable bowel syndrome and colitis. It was a case of sudden attack of diarrhoea which seemingly did not stop inspite of medication. She mentioned that that is why hospitalisation was needed and even there, it took her seven days to normalise.

The actor mentioned that her husband Mayur Madhwani is in the USA and he insisted on coming but the actor urged him to stay there. Mumtaz then revealed that the seven days were a lot of trouble for her where her skin was giving her a lot of trouble. She was on drop the entire week and the injection of the drip could only be inserted in her right hand as her lumph nodes were removed when contracted breast cancer 25 years ago.

She concluded saying that she is going back to her husband and will join him in London on 11th May.

We hope the actor stays healthy and well.
