Udti Ka Naam Rajjo actress Pakhi Hegde reacts on Ranveer Singh's photoshoot controversy

Actress Pakhi Hegde, who's made a mark in the Bhojpuri industry and is all set to be seen in the upcoming star plus show 'Udti Ka Naam Rajjo' reacts on the recent Ranveer Singh controversy which landed the Ramleela actor into trouble! Giving out her perspective on the same, the actress also revealed that how with time she understood that how with time she realised that it is never about the clothes but about the character of a person, and you shall see whatever lies within your innerself. 

Elucidating upon the same, Pakhi added "When I entered this industry years ago I had certain perspective towards everything like this is good this is bad but as I started working more and more, evolving as an actor I understood that this isn’t just about the clothes, it’s about the character, it’s about what role we are playing. As one said beauty lies in the eye of beholder. If you look Ranveer’s shoot as a beautiful piece of art, how it is beautifully shot, how it is visualised and portrayed you would look at an amazing picture. For me such shoots are the culmination of western culture into Indian culture and how gracefully we are able to accept it.”

Furthermore she adds "I understand the sentiments of people that there is a certain limitation, certain boundary, but yes everyone has got their individuality. He knows what he has done and he takes responsibility for it and it is his personal choice and every person has his or her own freedom of speech, freedom of choice, freedom to live their way. We have restrictions and boundaries as we are bought up in a certain culture and whoever will take the first move to change the perspective of the society will be considered rebellious and will be targeted the way Ranveer is being targeted today and I think if this would have been a female, an actress having such shoot done she too would have faced the backslash which I think isn’t appropriate and we should be evolving and accepting the new cultures now.”

Lastly, she concluded by saying that Ranveer has done his job as an artist and did not set out to hurt sentiments, it's about people who choose stay under delusion, she averred "If Ranveer is not spreading any hatred, he has not spoken Ill about anything and anyone, if he has not harmed anybody, he has just displayed a piece of work as being an artist so rather than focusing on womens sentiments being hurt we should rather ask women what they’ve thought about it and let them make their own choices"
