'TV is always there' - Sai and Shakti Anand

The duo met on the sets of Saara Aakash. They were last seen together in Sony's Ek Ladki Anjaani Si, and now the happily married couple, Sai and Shakti Anand, is all set to begin their Bollywood journey. In an exclusive interview, they share with us the story of their upcoming movie and their plans for the future.

Speaking about the upcoming movie Shakti says, "It is a light-hearted comedy, meant to make the audience laugh. It is basically on the lines of one of those old Hrishikesh Mukherjee movies." Adding further his counterpart Sai says, "As the name Ghar-Aunda suggests, it is all about the ups and downs of life."

The couple has been out of television for quite some time now, leaving the audience curious about their whereabouts. To which Shakti replies, "Before shooting of the movie began, we were in Australia for 15-20 days. Post the production, we went to London." Sai adds, "Given our busy hectic schedules, it was a well deserved break for us. We were just traveling and chilling out."

So will the audience get to see the couple paired together in the movie too? "No we are not paired opposite each other. Just because we are a couple off screen, and are paired on television also, people have the misconception that we will always be paired together", quips Shakti.

And what about television? Any chance of seeing the couple together again? "I don't really mind doing television shows, although I would prefer anchoring", says Shakti while Sai says, "I want to play a good role on the small screen, but right now there are very few of those available, so I guess I will just have to wait."
