"TV and ads are the best training ground for entering films." - Ayush Mehra

Destiny changed for newbie aspirant Ayush Mehra, who appeared in a host of commercials and episodic shows on Bindass, when the channel decided to make him a face of their new launch - Life Lafde aur Bandiyaan.

 

In a tete-a-tete with Tellybuzz, Ayush shared his brush with the industry so far and his excitement to be a part of 'Life Lafde aur Bandiyaan'.

 

 

 

I was feeling super lazy on a Sunday, when I got a call from the casting department of 'Love by Chance' for an episodic. I did not want go since I was going easy with the day but I received multiple calls and hence decided to go and check out the auditions. The director and writer loved my acting and after shooting for it, the episode was scheduled to air in the 7th telecast but they rescheduled it to second. Thereafter, the duo recommended my name for 'Life Lafde aur Bandiyaan'.

 

 

Well, I would not put it that way but yes, episodic shows do give a platform to an actor by which they can bag more shows. Experimenting with different roles in episodic shows help enhance one's skills for films and television. I feel TV and ads it is the best training ground for entering films.

 

 

Well, films is my ultimate goal. I have been actively doing commercials and I have been fortunate enough that some of my ads have become popular too like the Idea IIM add, where I played a chef. I want to explore my capabilities and would not like to be a part of monotonous shows. I would love to be a part of finite series.

 

 

I have worked very hard for this show. Unlike other production houses, I was given the script 20 days in advance, so I took workshops and put in my best in this show. I hope the viewers like what I present.
