So for this Swacch Bharat drive we ask actors how do they keep their home clean and what measures do they take to bring awareness about the cleanliness.
Shakti Arora who is seen as RV in Colors' Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi says -
I don't throw any waste on the roads and I do aware people also who do it in front of me because I believe that if you can't live in that environment at home then we should not pollute outside as well. At home I make sure that I keep de-cluttering clothes and things which I don't use.
Chandni Bhagwanani who is seen as Anjali in Channel V's Jhalli Anjali Tootey Dil Ki Amazing Story says -
My mom always says, 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness'. As a responsible citizen I always try to keep my surroundings clean. I am happy, because our government is starting this mission. I think strict laws for the cleanliness should be made and citizens should be fined it they break it.
Giaa Manek who was last seen in SAB TV's Jeannie Aur Juju says -
I think it's a brilliant initiative started for
creating awareness about cleanliness and motivating people to do the
needful for the same. Yes very much. We all must join our hands together
and promise our mother nation that we won't throw a single litter any
more and be an example for our coming generations. I feel as actors it
gets easier to spread the word because we have fans who follow us. Charity begins from home. We should start with cleaning our own house and our surrounding first.
Prachee Pathak who is seen as Rajnandini in Colors' Udann says -
I am a big time cleanliness freak. I am mad about cleanliness. I personally feel cleanliness begins from home, street, state and eventually our country. Everyone should have concern for our country's cleanliness.
Hiten Tejwani who is seen as Manav in Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta says -
Cleanliness is very very important and as they say first it starts from our own home. Keep your home, surrounding and your own society clean. It's our duty to keep our city clean and country clean.
Hasan Zaidi who is seen in Sony Pal's Tum Sath Ho Jab Apne says -
Cleanliness is very important to me. I am almost obsessive about cleanliness. I need everything in place and order and I know exactly what where is kept. I mean, I could be sitting and talking to anyone but if something is not clean in front of my eyes, my attention will completely be there. That is how important cleanliness is to me.
My advice to keep the country clean is to clean yourself clean and your surrounding clean. Jis jagah pe aap jaa rahe hai, if you make that place a better place just by cleaning it up. If I think everyone does that, we can make a big difference. It is something very simple but people do not do it. If they start doing, we'll be much cleaner.
Sharad Malhotra who will be seen as elder Pratap in Sony TV's Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap says-
I am Cleanliness freak. I object to people throwing garbage on the road and even in public places. I hate people spitting on road. Government should put penalize such people doing such acts. Throwing juice, cold drink and chips wrappers on the beach should be penalised too. I as a person do my bit and if each person takes the responsibility India will be a clean country.
