TV actors pledge for a pollution-free Diwali

Here is what colors' actors have to tell you for Diwali

Shashank Vyas a.k.a Roop from Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop,  "When I think of Diwali, the first thing that comes to mind are the mithais. I remember as a kid, I used to steal sweets from the kitchen and hide them in my lunchbox. I have never been away from my family during Diwali, but this year I am busy shooting and will be celebrating my favorite festival in Mumbai with my dad and few friends. I've always had a cracker-free diwali and even this year, I am going to spend it by lighting diyas around my house. Here's wishing all my fans a very happy and prosperous Diwali!"

Arjun Bijlani a.k.a Deep Raichand from Ishq Mein Marjawaan, "I am looking forward to celebrating the festival with my little son Ayaan and will be going for Diwali shopping with him, soon. Ayaan loves diyas and hence, we will decorate our entire house with colorful diyas. I have special gifts planned for him and my wife and I am sure they are going to love it. On the day of Diwali, we will be performing a small puja and celebrating a cracker-free Diwali."

Sonarika a.k.a Anarkali from Dastan-e-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali, "I celebrate Diwali with a lot of enthusiasm and absolutely love this festival. Like every year, I will be spending time with my family and we all arrange a Lakshmi Puja at home. I will make sure that I take time out from the shoot and go shopping to buy gifts for my family. I am very excited to welcome the festival of lights and pray for everyone's prosperity and happiness. Here's wishing everyone a happy and prosperous Diwali. Spread love and avoid any kind of pollution, so request my fans to celebrate it without bursting crackers."

Gurdeep Kohli Punjj a.k.a Jodhabai from Dastan-e-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali "I believe in celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali and like always, I will celebrate the festival with my family and close friends. I love this festival of lights and I work really hard to decorate the house with lots of diyas. My kids have been taught that crackers are not good and celebrating without them is also a lot of fun. Here's wishing everyone a Happy and Safe Diwali!

Drashti Dhami a.ka. Nandini from Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka "I love the festive feel that comes with Diwali. I remember as a child when I used to make rangolis with my mother and used to decorate the house with lights along with my brother. Even now my husband and I go for Diwali shopping and decorate the house with rangolis, diyas and flowers. Its an auspicious day and this Diwali I will be celebrate it with my family and friends. I would like to advise everyone on not burning  firecrackers as it only adds to the pollution. I wish everyone a Happy and Safe Diwali"

Shivin Narang aka Jai Mittal from Internet Wala Love said, " Usually I spend Diwali with my family in Delhi, but this time my family is coming to Mumbai and I'm super excited to have them. Diwali is that one time of the year when our friends and family come together to spend some gala time and make memories. I always end up eating a lot of sweets and gaining some extra weight. I totally support the idea of spending an eco-friendly Diwali, and request everyone to follow the same as pollution has become a major threat to the environment and our health as well. I remember last year my mother also faced breathing issues post owing to the unclean air in Delhi. I urge my fans to celebrate a noise-free and eco friendly Diwali this year."

Rubina Dilaik playing Khushi's role in Shakti..Astitva ke ehsaas ki said, " Every year, I wait for the festival of lights that is, Diwali. This year Diwali will be even more special for me since It's my first Diwali after my wedding. I have planned to cook some delicious meals myself for our family. I am looking forward to decorating our house with beautiful twinkly lights and making a rangoli.  I was never a fan of crackers so my idea of Diwali is just lovely family get together and good food."

Shakti Arora playing Kunal Malhotra role in Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, said, "Diwali has always been my favourite festival of the year. I still remember when I was a child, I used to go with my father to buy sweets, lightings, and fire crackers. I used to spend my whole time with family and friends. This Diwali, rather than investing money in fire crackers, I would like to advice my country mates to help the poor by doing charity and educating the less fortunate. I wish everyone a happy and safe Diwali!"

Seems pollution is only caused by firing crackers that too only on Diwali!!

Lot of people waste their time by watching some crap TV shows..why don't the actors ask them not to waste their precious time by watching TV!In that way people can spend their time for the betterment of the world and for themselves!

These actors would be really an inspiration if they can stopped using their cars/vehicles and they go by foot wherever they go
And it would be great if they have added these in their pledge too...
Stop using electronic gadgets..it leads to electronic waste!<br/>Stop using lot of make up kits because all are not natural
Stop using vehicles..and so on..
