T-Series release a statement clarifying rumors about 'Aashiqui 3': 'Not directed by Anurag Basu'

Actor Kartik Aaryan indeed has a lot on his plate and some of the biggest projects lined up ahead. Right from Chandu Champion to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and others, every film has been in news consistently. But if there's one project that is making the maximum noise and the most amount of rumors and speculation attached to it, it is Aashiqui 3.

As the third installment of the iconic musical film franchise, Aashiqui 3 is constantly being talked about and when it was confirmed that director Anurag Basu is also set to make a film with Aaryan, it was assumed that film be Aashiqui 3.

However, some clarifications have been due and the mega studio attached to and responsible for the rights of the film, T-Series, recently released a statement clarifying the same.

"T-Series wishes to clarify that we are not presently involved in the development or production of Aashiqui 3. If and when Aashiqui 3 is initiated, T-Series and Vishesh Films / Mukesh Bhatt being joint owners in the franchise shall produce it jointly only. We categorically deny any ongoing rumours suggesting that Aashiqui 3 is being produced under a different title by T- Series. Our proposed film to be directed by Anurag Basu is neither Aashiqui 3 nor part of the Aashiqui franchise. We sincerely appreciate ongoing support and enthusiasm of our fans. 

Our commitment lies in consistently delivering top-notch content, and we eagerly anticipate future ventures with our esteemed partners,' the statement read.
