Social media can be an overwhelming place but  also the web is dark & full of terrors, you can them trolls. Trolls on social media lurk out in the open where they have the best chance of attracting the audience. It's the only place which is indifferent to celebrities or the common people alike, over the years social media has bridged the gap between the actors & their fans/ followers who get a sneak peek into the lives of their favorites. Over the years, the number of trollers have increased & they send offensive or provocative comments to the actors to either upset them or elicit an emotional response. Our television actresses who play a variety of roles & are often touted as the quintessential bahu, daughter are often their own self on social media & are majorly trolled for their choices of outfits, or called out for PDA or body shaming.

We have 5 leading ladies on television who gave the trollers a piece of their mind & how!

Safe to say, she's the boss lady in replying back to the trolls. After her stint in reality show Bigg Boss, Hina was trending on the micro- blogging app almost everyday & she had once threatened to deactivate all her social media accounts.

In a live chat that Hina Khan did a while ago, trolls started saying the nastiest things about Rocky, even going to lengths and suggesting that he is not good-looking enough for Hina. And a few even suggested that she could be much more with someone who is better-looking than Rocky.
She shut down the trolls by saying that looks do not matter when one is in love. She said that if a person is not adorned with great features that doesn't take away his/her right to be with someone who is beautiful. Her statements could have been misjudged as it seemed that she suggested that she is beautiful and Rocky isn't. But she clarified that it doesn't mean that she is beautiful and that everyone should have that kind of thinking.

Divyanka who's currently the highest followed television actress, recently posted a picture with her husband, actor Vivek Dahiya & soon after followed a low key & distasteful comment body shaming her. But the most loved bahu on television was in no mood to let the miscreant get away & replied back, 'I am proud of my bosom...and no female should be ashamed of it. God has structured us in a manner for a reason. Nothing can be shameful about it. Good, you raised this topic. Humans first started covering themselves to save themselves from heat and cold not from the eyes of some perverts as those eyes didn't exist earlier. Now they do- in you!  Go see Ajanta Ellora and you'll see Indian Gods in their most beautiful natural forms. Every woman is a Goddess and goddesses are not defined by their scarcity or abundance of clothes but by their Karma and Power. So respect!"

They say real queens fix each other's crowns. Jennifer Winget just set an example as she bashed the trolls for posting nasty comments on her co-star's Aneri Vajani's picture.

On world yoga day Aneri posted a picture in a lingerie & was soon after bombarded with messages calling her skinny or her lingerie inappropriate. Jennifer soon after gave a befitting reply to the trollers.

' "You know as people, we'd like to have some personal and private space because sometimes we owe that to ourselves - that normalcy. Doing things that go unnoticed had anyone else chosen to done so. Call us naive, but with all the love and constructive criticism that our fans give us, we just assume that respect for that little privacy and commonness comes with it.  As actors, however, it probably slips up on us at times that we are consistently on the public radar and always left open to trolling, body shaming. We signed up for it whether we like it or not " dressed completely, aesthetically or whatever way people think doesn't work for them. Well, if it works for us, that's all that should matter, we don't think what they saying about ourselves. We're happy being us " skinny, fat or flabby. Just like everyone, we too are trying to figure our body out - dealing with it as would you, in a healthy manner eating right, working out. We're all made differently. By shaming each other, we're really shaming ourselves. We work hard in our jobs just as anyone and at the end of the day we'd like our hard work to not have to bother about what people think we do or don't or who we are or are not. They don't know us, happily unfollow, that's easier to do!"

As I write this, Mouni's already making her headway to Bollywood & will be seen alongside some powerhouse actors in two upcoming promising projects. Mouni's Instagram feed can make anyone envious with her travel stories, her glamorous pictures & she talks about books she loves to read & also shares few behind the scene dance videos. She recently posted a picture wearing a  white off -shoulder gown with a thigh slit, in no time she got trolled for not wearing cultural clothes. The actress put yet another picture of herself and had the perfect response to the trolls. She posted a picture of hers wearing black leggings and a denim jacket against the background of a desert with a caption 'Hopelessly flawed'. That's sassy enough to keep them at bay & also had other actresses cheer her for the badass reply.

Rubina became the first actress on television brave enough to play a transgender on a prime time show & is also a fitness expert & has an envious body. She usually is seen in saree on the show. She posted a bikini clad picture of herself & soon followed pretty vile comments  who slut shamed her. She smartly posted a saree clad picture of herself from the show with a sharp witted caption  "Do you know ... people change their opinion about you as you change the clothes".

All these leading ladies who enjoy a humongous fan following on social media do not believe in mincing words & are ready to take them down one at a time with such easy! Keep up!
