Trial By Fire: Netflix releases the heart-crippling trailer of the Abhay Deol starrer series

Earlier, the makers had released the poster of the web show 'Trial By Fire' and piqued the audiences interest towards the show. Now the trailer of the series is finally out and will give you gossebumps as you witness the struggle and hardships of Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy.

The plot centres on the tragic incident in June 1997, when a fire broke out at the south Delhi Uphaar Cinema, leaving 59 people dead and 100 injured.

The best-selling book "Trial by Fire: The Tragic Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy" by Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy served as its source of inspiration. Endemol Shine India and House of Talkies are the producers of the show.

The journey of the parents, Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy, who lost their two children in the fire, has been expertly recorded by Prashant Nair. Over the course of 24 years, the limited series will show their countless struggles to obtain justice while also examining the other lives that the fire affected and devastated.

Actor Abhay Deol said he has performed genuine stories before, but this one must be the most heartbreaking. Abhay posted a limited series poster on Instagram while pouring his heart and wrote, "Possibly the hardest role I’ve ever had to portray. I’ve done true stories before but this one has to be the most tragic. A fire that left a trail of tragedies in its wake. Tragedies Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy had to deal with over the two plus decades. Follow their journey in #TrialByFire, trailer out tomorrow only on @netflix_in".

Rajshri Deshpande, Rajesh Tailang, Ashish Vidyarthi, Anupam Kher, Ratna Pathak, Shilpa Shukla, and Shardul Bharadwaj will also be a part of the series. It will be streaming on Netflix from 13th January onwards.
