Yes! The times of keeping quiet and the build-up to scary moments will be back soon as the trailer of A Quiet Place Part II has finally arrived.
The John Krasinski directed silent horror thriller certainly turned out to be a surprise hit in many ways and there was an immediate wait for a sequel. That will now soon be over as the second part is officially arriving in theaters soon while the trailer of the same was released only recently.
In the second installment to the series set in a postapocalyptic world where blind creatures hunt humans based on sound, the Abbott family is set to venture further afield than in the first movie, which took place primarily in and around their homestead and neighboring town. They soon learn that the creatures they are familiar with at home aren't the only terrors that lurk outside their doorstep.
Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe are back in the second film, while Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou also join the cast. Sources have told The Hollywood Reporter that Murphy will play a mysterious man who joins the Abbott family unit, while details on the role Hounsou, who replaces Brian Tyree Henry, plays have not yet been disclosed.
The trailer, which dropped Wednesday, shows Blunt's character driving through a town in a flashback as she reassures one of her kids that everything will be OK while people run through the streets. Suddenly, one of the creatures appears in front of their car. At one point, a bus heads straight for them. She begins to back up quickly, and a creature can be seen crawling out of the broken front window.
A Quiet Place Part II will release on May 15th.
