As 2015 swiftly draws to a close, BollyCurry take a look back at the box office numbers to map out the top 10 high grossers of the year. With the majority of the movies making records, it comes as no surprise to see that the top 10 list seems to reflect this statement quite well. Even less surprising are some of the trends to note in terms of producers, directors, and cast. Here's presenting the Top 10 Movies of Bollywood in 2015 based on estimated worldwide gross earnings.
Note: Numbers and list stands as of December 21st, 2015.

As Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani continue to earn at the box office, it is expected that these numbers can and will change. Nonetheless, it can be seen that there are certain trends to note such as one actor having more than one top movie, or director-actor pairings that have always worked well at the box office. Additionally it is an interesting phenomenon that a majority of the movies that scored big at the box office, also scored highly with the critics. Whatever it may be, as the year bids farewell, BollyCurry is much pleased with these numbers and this top 10 list. As we sign off, we can only hope that in 2016, all the top 10 movies will be critical acclaims as well!
