Too much hype for Goal?

While 'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal' is doing brisk initial business, a charge of over-hyping the sports film is being put on its makers.

But when we quizzed Bollywood's most famous spin doctor Dale Bhagwagar on this, he disagreed. Dale pointed out that in recent times, except for 'Lagaan', 'Iqbal' or 'Chak De India', we haven't seen any great films on sports.

Also, football as a theme, has not been as famous as cricket amongst Indians. "So 'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal' needs the PR push it is being given," he said and added, "Luckily, it has the backing of a production house like UTV (led by a master-brain like Ronnie Screwvala), which is also known for promoting and exploiting their films to the fullest."

Now lets see if this super publicity helps propel the movie to emerge a superhit like 'Lagaan' or even 'Chak De India'. It is also a big test for John Abraham and his fan following. Since his biker film 'Dhoom', John hasn't given another huge hit, and 'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal' can be a good turning point for him too.
