TMKOC’s Nidhi Bhanushali has no regrets about leaving the show: 'Every day feels like a gift from the divine…'

Nidhi Bhanushali, known for playing Sonu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently opened up about why she left the show. She talked about her personal and professional growth since departing from the series. Nidhi also shared her thoughts on the controversies surrounding the show, including issues with unpaid payments, and the challenges faced by the cast.

Nidhi Bhanushali has put the issue of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah behind her. "It’s been about six–seven years since I moved on from the show, and honestly, that chapter feels very distant now," she said, choosing to focus on her present rather than past controversies. Despite the show's ongoing headlines for payment disputes and behind-the-scenes issues, Nidhi has moved on and is looking forward.

“At the time, transitioning out of it wasn’t the easiest, largely because I had been part of the show for so many years, and there were strong emotions involved on all sides. I did have a quiet concern that things could get complicated, as they sometimes do in such long-running setups, but nothing really did. And whatever did happen is perhaps not even worth remembering," the actor added.

Nidhi said, “I never paid much attention to that aspect. My reasons for moving on were deeply personal and creative. I don’t even recall the finer details anymore, because so much life has happened since. What’s stayed with me is the learning, the relationships, and the richness of that experience, and that’s what I choose to carry forward."

Nidhi Bhanushali reflects on her career journey with pure gratitude. Without any hint of regret, she says, “Absolutely not, I wouldn’t change a thing about my journey... Every day feels like a gift from the divine, and I’ve been blessed with many beautiful ones. Some came wrapped in success, others in challenges, but all of them came with meaning.”
